Friends, recently, we have offered several versions of microfiber towels, and I want to explain why:
Microfiber towels are made in two countries, Korea or China. The second there is a USA manufacturer of microfiber, we will be the first customer. ![]() There used to be dozens of factories in Korea, but the trend over the past few years has moved manufacturing to China. While the factories are owned by Koreans, they simply ship the huge machines to China, where the average factory worker earns $.10 to the Korean worker's $1. There are fewer, and fewer factories in Korea, and two more of the factories that made towels for us in the past relocated to China in 2010. Our main towel manufacturer, a small family-owned operation, recently experienced a flood which caused damage to several of their machines. These are massive, expensive machines which are not repaired quickly, or cheaply. Especially difficult for a small company to handle. Before the flood, they were having difficulty keeping up with our demand. The flood only made things worse. Now, we sourced some of the Fat Blue Towels, and the Utility Towels from a wholesaler in the USA. These are temporary, quality towels that we purchased to keep customers shining...while the next round of towels arrive from our new Korean manufacturer. So, we are changing towels again, and the next changes will be more permanent. I apologize for the confusion with the towel changes, and the next round of towels will be the highest quality we have ever offered. This microfiber towel dilema has been the single biggest thorn in our side in our history, and I just wish they made microfiber in the USA so we didn't have do deal with all of these headaches! We are no longer offering the black utility towels, as the last box we opened were slightly different, thinner, and had "Made in China" stamped. No good, and we sent them back. Thanks for your patience with us through these changes. Remember, we honor a 110% Guarantee if you are less than thrilled with the quality of any of the less-expensive towels we have been offering while the next round of towels are custom made and shipped over. If you have any thoughts, concerns, or complaints, I would like to take them personally. Please contact me directly: 720-473-7100-Direct 303-718-9480 - Cell Adam@AdamsPolishes.com Thank you for your business, and we will have a consistent, premium towel line shortly. Sincerely, Adam Last edited by Adam; 01-07-2011 at 08:48 AM.. |
