Nope, there are no other backing plates for the Flex. There is an Edge 2K pad adapter but that is it

Our pads do still work with the Flex machine however. The Flex's backing plate will actually sit on the inside of our black plastic locking ring so you'll still get a secure fit and perfectly centered every time!

What size is this backing plate? I know the pads are 7.5 but i cant find the backing plate size anywhere. Just curious as to if it will fit other pads.

Why are they called "absorber" plates? What do they absorb? Shock (i.e. vibration)?
