Default Americana vs Super Natural

I emailed Adam about this and he suggested I ask in here, so here goes.

I really love the Dodo Juice Supernatural wax, easy to apply and remove. I am looking at the Adam's Americana Paste Wax, which is about 1/3 the price. I do know about the 110% policy. I would like to get an idea from people that have used both on how they compare.

I converted a friend who used Dodo to Americana. It's so easy to use, and the results are fantastic.

you just don't get that reflection on this color without Adam's. I promise you, I've tried many brands since I got the car. Only one does this.

I am sorry I have never used the SW or even heard of it, however I do know a little something about Americana. Believe me you will not be sorry the ease of use and the shine you will get is amazing!

I have several sample pots of Dodo Juice waxes, but not Supernatural. I like Americana much better than the samples I have. Americana goes on easier and comes off easier.

I'm 64 and have used just about everything over the years. Nothing I've used comes close to Americana. Easy to use, durability, and shine all excel.

This is from an independent review done by a guy over on the GTO board. He has an obsession with waxes and has owned or currently owns every dodo product and many many many others. He was a bit of a skeptic at first, then he got his hands on it. I believe if you asked him he'd still say if price were no object Supernatural would be his favorite, but $ for $ Americana is his favorite.

At the price DDJS comes in at I'd certainly hope its better... otherwise you're getting ripped off for 3x the price.

I have really high standards when it comes to wax and most brands I have tried have fallen short of my expectations. There are a few exceptions. Dodo Juice waxes are amazing, I have every single one ever made and really just love all of them. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried. Maybe Supernatural, but all of their other waxes are just perfect. Chemical Guy's has a few that I really like,Pete's 53 and 5050. Swissvax...well, I really don't like their waxes and I have owned and tried most of them. Every now and then you find a wax that jumps to the top of your list for various reasons. Adam's Americana is one of those. My expectations for this wax were high after hearing from some people who have used it.

First, the packaging. The tub (I usually call it a pot but this is a huge container, it's a tub) has a very nice applicator enclosed inside, it was the perfect compliment to this wax.

Next, the texture. My tub had a light layer of white wax, slightly hardened, over the wax which is an off white color. I attribute this to me opening the tub and sniffing the wax a lot yesterday..lol. I buffed off the white layer and got to the business of waxing my car.

Now for application. A little is a lot with this wax, as with many of the high end waxes I have. A light layer with the supplied applicator goes a long way in covering. I did a panel at a time and it spread very nicely.

Last, the removal. Buffing off the wax was a simple task with a nice Gladiator MF towel. Not much residue, no streaking and absolutely no missed spots. The wax requires little if any effort to remove and left behind a gloss that I can only compare to a wax that cost three times as much.

See below for some pictures of the finished product. I am completely blown away with the quality and superiority of this wax. I place it firmly behind Supernatural on my list of favorites. A very close second, I might add.

Although if I had to compare it to any wax, it would be Souveran for it's ease of application and removal. It does, however, leave a deeper shine and a LOT more gloss than Souveran. I was extremely surprised to say the least.

To pretty much sum up all the picture, Andy.... It's like looking in a mirror.

I was skeptical about Americana at first because of the cost and thinking I wouldn't notice a difference. I broke down and bought a tub... Best Wax I've ever used.

For me, it's cheaper than waxes I have bought previously and who doesn't like paying less.
