Yep, the old GM plant has been gone for years. Too bad, was fun having it right around the corner, plus I know a lot of people that were employed there. Now it's a shopping mall named "The Plant".

that's sad to hear, I've had five cars that came out of that plant..

back in the day Camaros were made in Van Nuys California and Norwood Ohio, all of mine came from California.

1988 Jeep Wrangler made in Canada. The 2009 Pontiac G8 was made in Australia. Now if GM would import the Commodores we would be set!

Kind of hard to purchase a car completely made in it's country of origin any more. Our 05 Dodge Dakota was built I believe in Delaware with a lot of Mexican parts. Our 06 Pontiac G6 was built in Michigan with a hint of Canada. Interesting, neither of these vehicles are are being produced any longer. I lived in Japan for some time and went to the Toyota plant while there for a tour. Ran into a group from Indiana that at the time was the sole provider of emission parts for Toyota's built worldwide. Also at the time the largest US exporter of product to Japan was Tabasco sauce followed by Boeing. Don't know if still true but in any case was interesting. Today, Japanese airline ANA is an exclusive Boeing client and the American carrier US Airways is almost exclusively an Airbus user. Kind of a strange world.

I do still try to but product made here when possible. Not so easy with tech gadgets and other household items. This is what makes Adam's products worth the money to me. Always willing to spend a couple extra bucks on products that support work here.

You should be able to tell where your Jeep Wrangler was assembled by looking on the drivers side door jam.

If I'm looking for a sticker, metal plate or stamping in this area it's long gone. Only thing that's still original on this is most of the frame, the tub and windshield frame.

Canada it is! Now I wonder how that Ford label got on the engine computer and into the Jeep back when I was ripping all of the old carburetor stuff out...
