Talking spray sealent technique

detailed a honda van yesterday silver

techique was to apply spray sealent and spread product with hex pad then let stand for about 20 minutes then apply buttery wax and wipe with micro fiber was very pleased with results so i think if you are applying a product above the sealentt you can eliminate wiping the sealent off separartely just wipe off with wax or glaze

The benefit of removing Sealant residue before you layer anything over it is so you can make sure 100% you got it all off, and didn't "wax" in a spot where you may have gotten a little heavy with the sealant.

So, to clarify, you are asking me what happens when you have laid wax over a spot that you think you have been a little heavy with the Quick Sealant?

Are you seeing some hazing under the wax? Are you sure it's not under both the Sealant and the Wax? Did you let the Quick Sealant haze up? For how long? It doesn't need a whole lot of time. I usually wait like 10 minutes.

Do you have any pics?

would you guys recommend getting:
A) sealant and buttery wax; or
b) brilliant glaze and americano wax?

it's for a black car.

Mook I don't have any pics. I was just trying to clarify your advice on the benefits of wiping off the sealant residue before you wax.

Which sealant? Quick Sealant? over Buttery? They are two different means of protection. One bonds to the surface (sealant) and the other surfs it (wax). Between those two, Quick Sealant all day.

Brilliant Glaze is a glaze. Minimal, if any protection, but IMO a must have in your arsenal.

AMERICANA Paste Wax is by far the superior Paste I have used. Americano is a coffee.

Common Sense says the benefit of removing the Quick Sealant residue before you lay Brilliant Glaze or Americana Paste Wax that it will allow you to remove ALL of it, instead of perhaps leaving a little behind, then seeing a hazed/clouded spot due to being heavy in a place and trapped under the wax.

IT's different when you step over polish. You can go Severe Swirl Remover, Swirl & Haze Remover, Fine Machine Polish all over the top of one another, once you have your required process down for the vehicle.

Personally, I would remove the residue of the Quick Sealant before moving to the next choice of shine.

Depends on the application IMO.

Daily driver? Sealants all the way!

Garage Queen? Americana is great and easy to apply.

I'll be using all sealants on my vehicles now with Adams Quick Sealant out.
