Default Engine Bay on the SS: DONE

HEllo!

I was a little busy this weekend, what with helping JD polish out a Camaro on Saturday, and the SS and 6 both needing a good bath yesterday. I initially wanted to polish the 6 out too, but getting older, I ran outta gas.

I hadn't touched this since I got back from the Fall Auction in Auburn. I was disappointed in myself that I let it go this bad.

Before:

Products Used:
36oz. Foaming All Purpose Cleaner
Boar's Hair Brush
SVRT/Water Mixture
In and Out Spray

Results: (I am not a fan of having an over-shined Engine Bay)

REMEMBER! Detail your engine bay every 1,000 miles. Your engine and mechanic will thank you.

Nice. Indeed to do the SS this spring. With the SVRT/Mixture, do you just let it dry, or do you "buff" it afterwards?

I'm curious about the SVRT mixture also, how does that work?

Your bay looks great, a perfect "natural" shine.

What I do for the SVRT/Water Mixture:

1. Make sure you have a clean, empty bottle.

2. Fill it roughly 30% with SVRT.

3. Fill the rest up to the neck with DISTILLED (thanks B Pappy) water.

4. Secure cap. Shake it like a Polaroid Picture. I MEAN A LOT. Shake it while you are using it also.

5. Shoot over area.

6. Knock down with MF Towel.

7. Shoot again, close hood, walk away to grab another beer.

plain and simple. nice, love the milky VRT mixture, works wonders. did the SS come without a hood heat shield, or did you take it off?
