Default Anyone see a problem with this

I NEED to get the salt off my truck, I plan on dropping by the Do-it-yourself-power wash do do it. Since the temps will be at freezing or just below, I wash going to blast it, drive it home, spray it with Waterless Wash and wipe it down. Plus then follow up with Detail Spray to bring out the shine.

Thanks,

be careful when using the Waterless Wash if the paint is full of JUNK before the blast. without any contact there will still be a film on the car. I really dont care if small stuff happens to my finish right now though cause I will do a full polish in the spring.

If it is above 32* I would take a bucket with me and hand wash it.
If not as long as you get all of the winter junk, salt and grit off, you could use WCW to remove road film.

that's what I was thinking, the blast from the pressure washer would get most of the salt off and the WCW would get the rest.

No WAY this would work here. #1 my car freezes in the 1 mile drive home from the car wash, #2 the roads are COVERED with salt and other grit which then clings to the water. If you're not worried about scratches, I say go for it.

I just drive mine home and let it sit. I look at it, as it's better than nothing.

Right now I have the same issues and I am doing the same thing with the Charger, I don't want to take the risk of doing something to it that I am going to have a hard time working out in the spring. And because I polished it up and sealed it nice before the weather got bad it still looks better than 99% of the salt cakes driving around town.

Of course you do... You're only 45 minutes from me...

On a side note...

When I use the coin op, I spend about 8-9 minutes cleaning the car. I get up close and personal with it and make sure it's as clean as I can get it without touching it. I then use the wax setting which makes the car bead all over VERY well, and then do the spot free rinse which I think is a joke but I still do it. What I find is that the car dries better because the water tends to run off much better, especially when driving it home.

I had MORE than enough wax/sealant on it, but the salt just eats it alive. The sides are bad but the top surfaces are pretty good actually.

I would skip the Waterless Wash, just do the do it yourself to get the salt off and wait for a warmer day to do more. Chances are the do it yourself is going to leaves some stuff on the car which means that Waterless Wash is going to scratch your car. Waterless Wash is just for very light dirt not the stuff that remains AFTER you wash it.
