Default Los Angeles International Auto Show

Just got home from my second trip to the Los Angeles International Auto Show and just have one thing to say...... LEARN HOW TO MAINTAIN THE SHOW CARS!

I didn't see one car there that should have represented the automakers. The black vehicles were the worst. Years ago I simply had no idea detailing even existed or knew how easy it was to keep a car looking new - I wish the automakers knew this...

I was even sickened to see one of the presenters, after giving a great talk on a new high priced car use her SLEEVE to remove her finger prints! I looked after and yep, micro scratches!

Come on automakers; times are tough so it's high time you step up your game and do your best to shine up your products. Next year I'll be there giving them samples if that's what it takes!

HA... Call 'em out dude...

You should walk way with detail spray, a microfiber, and business cards... Wipe the prints of for them, make like 1 square foot of the car look better than the rest and give them a card. LOL

It really wouldn't do any good. Each manufacturer really only has 1 or two reps at each booth, the rest are all contacted spokespeople. Ford for example, out of the 30 reps I saw, probably only had actually 3 Ford employees there. The rest were paid professional spokesmen reciting a memorized script.

I guess it's the usual story - leave it to the aftermarket companies to pick up the slack.
