  2. I applied too much product the first time I used Ceramic Boost. I applied Adams Detail Spray over the streaked areas and it looked fine. I now spray Boost onto a microfiber towel then to the paint surface. I've used Ceramic Boost successfully 3X this way. Best of luck, it will work out.

  3. Sorry for the wait. Here I'll tell you my process. I'm sure some others on this discussion may have some different input or suggestions to better this process, so please be open to those suggestions too. So total time I spent working hands on was around 4 hours. I'll try to give you the products I used (with links) and reasons for each step I took. This can become repetitive and tedious at times, but I'm doing so because I believe that I'm reducing the chances of damaging my paint. I think I would follow this process even if I chose to use a different type of protection, but it's pretty import

  4. Hey guys, new to Adams products and looking for some advice. I’ve recently made a few orders and got a good collection started, this is from the essential kit and 2 mystery buckets. I’ve always been interested in detailing, but have never got into it seriously. I’ve always been hesitant about jumping into it as far as machine polishing goes but I think that will be my next purchase. So just look over what I have and I would appreciate any advice on anything you have to offer. Thanks!

  5. If the only option was FaceBook for Adam's, I wouldn't be a participant. It isn't the platform that is the problem, it is the EULA and security issues. I have no doubt that within the next few years or sooner between the European Union and GDPR and US Government, the problems will be corrected - Even Mark Zuckerberg recognizes that there needs to be competitive friendly restrictions to reins in the social media runaway train. Given that I know I'm not the only Facebook avoider on this site, I suspect that Forum will live and be active for a long while to come.

  6. Hi DW, Brilliant Glaze is one of my favorite products. When Ceramic Boost is freshly installed BG can take out high spots without removing the product, it can also hide some minor defects. My favorite thing with Brilliant Glaze is to clean the inside of the windshield. You can apply Brilliant Glaze over anything and it will add a lot of extra Pop to the vehicle. However, it only lasts a few days and then basically evaporates when on outside of the vehicle. When applied to the inside of the windshield, it will stay clear for many weeks and it greatly reduces the amount o

  7. Thanks for the tips everyone. Detail Spray helped, but didn't fully get it off. I ran out and picked up a bottle of Brilliant Glaze (nice to have a a local store nearby with inventory - Adam's Underground in Cornelius!). That did the trick...it removed the streaks. Did the Glaze fully remove the Boost? Should I apply a new coat? Will the Glaze effect the hydrophobic properties of the Spray Coating?

  8. Thanks for the reply! My personal vehicle is a 2000 Silverado with almost 300,000 miles lol. The paint isn’t perfect by any means but I think it could be corrected and turn out pretty good, so I think a machine polisher will be my next purchase. As far as right now really just want to test out some new things and get comfortable with them. I also will be using them on my brothers 2004 Silverado duramax (his paint is in a lot better condition than mine) he’s also caught the detailing bug and my moms 2010 Acura MDX. I graduate from college next May and just want to get some more experience with

I recommend doing the wheels/tires the day before doing the rest of the car. Spreading it out makes it easier.

  10. Use up all your old Adams soaps as lube, then stock up on Mega Foam.

  12. I wonder if they are going to pull the product reviews over OR if we will need to leave reviews again. What can I say, I always like reading the reviews 🙂

  15. I had never considered it, but after thinking about it I wouldn't do it, either. Clay is meant to clean and decon paint, and can/will remove protection while using it. I'd think it would remove protection you're trying to apply with the HGG, defeating the purpose. I also think lubrication would be an issue because less is more with HGG, and you need a lot of lube for clay, so streaking is a strong possibility. In fairness, DS adds some minor protection, too, but not nearly as much as the HGG. Plus, I don't think you'll like the results, much like I don't like clay residue left beh
