Found this car in 2007 in the back of a local independent Harley dealer. The car was in pieces and the owner said he was ready to get rid of it. It took 2 years to convince him to trade me for my '07 FLH that I had fully customized but I never gave up. He had already completed the 4 link with the Currie 9", rebuilt the front suspension and added a knock off ZZ4 crate motor. The car had already been stipped and placed in primer, it was a stock laser straight rust free body. Even though my job had just been outsourced after 15 years, I made the trade and pushed on to finish the car. I found a good ol boy painter in Bowie and dropped off the body for prep and paint as I started a large shopping list of needed parts. As I started bringing painted body panels home and storing in the master bedroom, my wife was steadily getting frustrated with the obsession of the car, lol Well 4 months later I had it running on its own power and driving a 200 mile shake down. Needless to say, I was on a quest!. Over the next few months I completed the interior and small items. The TCI tranny went out exactly 1 year later and at 6k miles the motor dropped a valve. I tore it down and put all the good stuff in it with a custom grind cam from Bullet Cams and it now has a Muncie 4 speed that helps transfer the 425hp to the ground. Color combo is s slight variation of '04 Millennium yellow and Arctic white. Although I built this in 2009, I focused on a '60s style hot rod, did not opt for FI or modern updates. It does have dropped spindles and power disc brakes on the front end and a Vintage Air system. The car is a driver and now has 10k on the clock, it has only left me stranded once so I figure its not too bad. Oh yeah, the wife loves her now and has named her Puddin, aka Nanner Puddin!
Day I brought her home
