The meguiars  forum is actually good advice . Especially for your asking price . I bought a used cyclo on here for a about 250 USD shipped and it's 10 times the tool that this one is. 100 bucks sounds about right for a sale here . I'm sure other venues will be more kind to meguires stuff sorry .

    Maybe try a Meguiars forum?

I don't know if it will get it out . But it certainly won't hurt . I would start with the clay then try revive . U may just have to get some correcting polish and do by hand.  Imo it should come out with a little work . Hard to tell without seeing it tho

Any abrasive polish has the potential to burn thru the clear coat, especially when paired with an aggressive pad.  If you follow the guide of using the least aggressive method first, and pay attention to your work, you should not have a problem.  Be mindful of panel edges and non-flat areas - those will have the least amount of clear coat.
Adam's Revive Polish is not an abrasive polish, but a chemical polish.

Well it is Chinese so maybe you got a dud. Mine don’t get too hot, even after prolonged usage. Give Adams a call and keep us updated

PostalTwo reacted to Chonke in What's more important?
I would say the polish and pads are more important than the machine. However, the most important part will simply be your technique and experience. An experienced person who knows what hes doing will likely achieve better results with a harbor freight polisher than a rookie with a rupes.

I think you already have a decent machine and upgrading will net you no results. Try practicing on a different car. Maybe a buddy who has a beater. What exactly are you struggling with? Im sure everyone here can throw in some tips.

Remember to work in small sections. I think 2'x2' is the general rule of thumb, but I always start smaller. Sometimes 1'x1' until I find the method that works for me. Also dont rush it. If its a big vehicle, you can also break it down into multiple days.

Also different clears and colors make it more difficult or easier to polish. My car has black paint, and it was pretty easy to see the imperfections, so it was also easy to correct. However, my truck is silver and it was a PITA to correct it.

I have a cyclo and love it . As mentioned all ready there's not an issue getting it into small places. It has a 16 mm throw that corrects very well and it's butter smooth. It's made in the USA if that's important to you and every part of that machine is serviceable not just the brushes. It's a machine that will last and last

brzn, is that the only kind of poop you have available, from experience in hotter climates there are white poops and small yellow poop dots that will damage the paint here in California, there is no right or wrong answer here but I can guarantee that leaving poop on paint cooking in direct sunlight will cook the paint!

Can't help you there, but the point is numerous of us have come here for help and support and have not been answered.

This type of (lack of) response makes some steer clear of Adams. I haven't made a purchase for Adams since this due to lack of response around the issue. Like I mentioned, companies support is a key player in who I go with and that has been rocked. The fact that I have been a loyal Adams user for years apparently does not warrant any type of response or explanation. Even my email to Adams went ignored. As a result, my new shop has been fully furnished by other brands and suppliers.

There are a couple products I would love to still get from Adams, but just straight out refuse to until Adams can build up that trust again.

Still no public update about the Canadian Site. What is going on Adams? I thought surely by now everything would be fixed, but went to check out the mystery box just now and pricing is all out of wack, shipping is still out of wack.

Nearly 3 months later, still no email or word from Adams. I have had to make a few orders from other suppliers, something I am not fond of due to how much loyalty I had to Adams previous to this whole website mess (let's be honest here, it was a mess how it was handled). Still no official explanation of what kind of security issues you had, no details about previous orders, nothing.   If I missed these announcements, my apologies and if someone could kindly link me to them.

It really boggles my mind, is Adams playing a prank on us Canadians? Is there a joke I am missing here...

Both of those need bodywork to fix 100% the gouge/hole I would fill and get some colour matched spray bomb or touch up paint with an air brush ,clear over top and then Polish to blend in. The bottom chip I would touch up paint then clear touch-up paint over and Polish. Might make them less noticeable cuz right now they stick out bigtime. Really u got nothing to loose

Actually, it's totally relevant.  While i understand your brand loyalty (I run into this on vendor forums all the time), having an Adams sticker on a bottle does not make it a better bottle, any more than a Meguiars sticker, Griots Garage sticker, or a Menzerna sticker does. It makes it exactly what it is...a bottle with a sticker on it.

I cant comment on the pad, as I am not sure what would have done that, someone on here will certainly be able to help you there.

I will say you used a bunch more product than you needed to, I can get several cars out of one bottle typically. Remember, less is more with Adams. We all make that mistake the first time so your in good company.

As for the Cyclo is self, I love mine, so smooth!

Man, it is a good thing that Nathan can hold his own on this forum because the hazing he receives because of is age is relentless. LOL. Don't worry Nathan, while everyone loves to kid with you it's just a sign of respect for someone so young but with so much drive and determination to do what they enjoy.
As for the interior detailer.... not a fan of the baby powder smell. While it works well, there is just something wrong with a F150 smelling like baby powder when both of your kids are teenagers.

I've asked Larry Kosilla about Reflex. It's not an actual coating. He said it was like a paint Sealant on steroids. You can wash and reuse the towels for wiping away the Reflex after. You can't do that with any Ceramic coating. Anything from the Ammonyc line is good. I use some of his stuff too.
