  1. Is there a special place for "For Sale" items?
  2. Not sure I'd compare HF tools to Porter-Cable. There is a huge difference in quality there. This coming from a woodworking teacher/cabinetmaker who has a shop full of tools (mostly PC). I have bought and used HF power tools and they are NOT the same quality.
  3. Hey guys, I've been gone quite a while and really don't do much detailing anymore. I would like to sell my Porter-Cable 7424 polishers. They are the original versions not the XP. I didn't use them very hard. I bought one used and the other I bought new, Neither one has that many hours on them. They both have the velcro pad on them. The newer one also has the add-on extra handle. Probably have a couple well-used pads for one or the other. I'm thinking these are probably worth around $75 each plus shipping. Am I in the right ballpark?
  4. I have seen a few cars that fit right in that description (all three of my daughters). I've tried to impress upon them the value of clean vehicles, and they do a reasonable job of cleaning the exterior, but lack in cleaning the inside. Me, as soon as I get back from a trip, I clean the trash out (actually do it every time we stop) and then vacuum up any junk that is left. One daughter will do a semi-thorough job once a month or so. I'm finally getting to her.
  5. I just ran across this article and immediately thought of ADAMS forums. I know most everyone here takes pride in their cars, both exterior and interior, but thought I would pass this little tidbit along. http://ibnlive.in.com/news/ughh-car-steering-wheels-dirtier-than-toilets/150146-19.html
  6. OK I found one of the 56 shortly after I bought it......remember I was 15 years old and worked and saved to buy this wondercar. I rattle can spray primed it. circa 1970 Here are a couple of the Dodge. It was really a special car. Circa 1973
  7. I must be one of the older poorer guys here on the forum.....My first car was a 1956 Chevy Bel Aire 2 door post.....rust bucket. I'll have to see if I can find a few pictures and scan them. The second car was a 1964 Dodge Polara 500, that was a sweet car.
  8. You're right....if you are doing it, and can afford to do it right, that's the time to do it. Those are some really nice cabinets....actually inside the house as well. Coming from someone who builds cabinets, I can say you didn't skimp.
  9. There's also the 3/4" spindle shaper next to the planer. I also have an 11 x 36 lathe over in the corner and a 14" bandsaw which I don't think shows in the pictures. Thanks, yes it is a serious wood shop, just wish it was bigger . I teach woodworking in a high school (at least through the end of this year, I am retiring after 31 years) and do custom cabinetry as a side. After retirement I plan to augment my retirement by working in the shop. Edit...I just noticed that one of my pictures got dupped, I went back and changed it out. You can see the bandsaw back there and the lathe is behind the walk-in door.
  10. The garage is a little over 22' deep front to door and about 21' wide, with a ceiling height of 10'1" -10'3" (front to door). Do I have to take the ramps off......No I have enough room to leave them on. But I do rake them off, because it's not that big of a deal, especially since I bought the aluminum ramps. They weigh about half what the steel ramps weigh. AJ, I'm glad that I could 'entertain' you.
