  1. Thanks, of course the really cool photos are thr action shots I got of the other cars!
  2. I missed the voting thread last month because I was "here" in Telluride, CO: The car is completely trashed at this point, sleet on top of dirt, and still the Adam's shine shows through! Btw, I don't recommend driving a '79 Trans Am downhill in sleet at 11,000 elevation posted speed limit only 25 and no guard rails, when the defrost quits working too!
  3. I tried to post it in the reply, seemed like it uploaded but then I didn't see it. ????
  4. Thanks! The one that shows my best friend's 87 Buick Grand National is even better, you can see the big red sun just setting, but the rules said it has to be your own cars, so!
  5. The '17 Explorer and the '79 Trans Am, on the way home from the Total Solar Eclipse: Check out the hazy sunset reflecting in that Adam's shine, that was after being on the road all day with the black paint accumulating dust and bugs!
  6. Yeah Chris, I feel your pain. I did it to myself sort of, but still! July 15, that's half the summer with no wax--and I just got the Patriot wax I couldn't wait to use it on that pain in the butt!
  7. I had to do some body work to repair some cracks and repaint some parts of my car, too much driving like Smokey and the Bandit! Two weeks ago I finally painted (base coat, clear coat) my front spoiler, wheel spoilers, and front bumper. The bumper and rear wheel spoilers are the factory original Endura rubber, the front wheel spoilers and front spoiler are aftermarket fiberglass; I don't think the substrate material should make any difference, but I'll put it out there just in case. So the paint guru where I bought the $300/pint paint said no wax (or sealant) for 90 days. Washing is OK, polishing is OK, glaze is OK. I don't want to miss half of the summer cruise and show season because I can't wax my front bumper, but I'm afraid of the new paint getting messed up because unfortunately the nose is an area that people like to touch excessively, like when they lean all over it to look under the hood! Plus I drive the car, so I'd rather not get bug guts, water spots, etc. all over if I don't have sealant and wax on. So what do you recommend I use for PROTECTION until I can apply sealant and wax, I am counting down the days! Thank you!
  8. Thanks, guys! Can't wait until it quits raining and snowing so I can put my new education and products to use--the grunge in my wheels might be almost as old as I am! I'll post the "after" picture soon, I hope!
  9. My husband I were going to attend the detailing clinic at the Shelby museum in Boulder, but it was canceled because of weather, so we are planning to come to the rescheduled open house at your headquarters.
  10. Mine is a '79, too. As good as it looks, it's had too many modifications to be show car--but I got it to drive it!
  11. I saw an ad in a regional paper for Adam's detail clinic in Colorado, then found out about the forum from an email about rescheduling the clinic because we have crappy weather out here. Which gives you plenty of opportunities for cleaning your car! So, car detailing is new for me. I finally got the car I've wanted since I was 5 years old--and it will be my "seasonal" daily driver as long as there's no rain, snow, or major grunge on the roads, so now I'm looking forward to learning how to keep my mean machine clean!
