I would disagree that you dont have a need or space for a full system, as most of the wood workers out there are in small shops like that and have full systems. See bellow for more.

That was a great video that I actually watched a while back (Been a sub of his for years, he makes awesome stuff esspecially the big wheel). There are a ton of great woodworkers on youtube operating basically out of 2 car garages, Izzy is a bit bigger and more low budget, Kind of like a Steve Ramsey can be. I would say check out the likes of April Wilkerson before she build her huge shop, she worked out of a "shed" at one point that was probably smaller than a 2 car garage and had a full setup (link to the video on Harbor Freight dust collector modifications). Some may not like him but he has made great points on dust collection and the importance of protecting your lungs, and that would be Mark Spagnuolo. Yes he uses more expensive tools and equipment, but the points are still valid. He recently did a video comparing 3 dust collection systems (and yes one was that F brand....) you might be surprised at the results.

I am definately doing box fans, as my new wood working space is rather large, and box fans are cheap, but I will also have a full setup for all my stationary tools (Including a few that will be on carts like my planer) just for ease of use. Feel free to drop a PM if you want to keep talking shop, Im more than happy to, as I am currently designing my new wood shop.

I’ll second this. Or we use white scotch brite and a cream cleanser. The #0000 steel wool is awesome though and cheap.

Had that issue with my truck at one point, was some kind of road oil or something on the glass that just would NOT let go.

#0000 steel wool and either detail spray or my go to, glass cleaner as a lubricant. Works every time for me when clay wont, then I glass seal it and good to go.

Knowing that, it's hard to beat HGG for ease of use and protection gained. Note nothing from Adam's will fully protect from gravel/rock chips. But for now, in your situation, HGG has my vote.

Please avert your eyes, but I cried just a little over my car still looking like this from Friday's snow. It's too cold to rinse, and too much crud to do a Rinseless.

I'm not sure if this has been a 3 year project or a 20+ year project.  Either way it has been fun, had a few challenges and the results are more than expected.  We know that done never means done, it is simply a break until the next activity.  Of note, the headlights are not complete, while the replacement arrived this week, there is a problem with them, but I went ahead and finished the body.  I'll also mention that I did not pull the wheels to do them, I decided to get Tire Armor and it is on the way.

The weather was perfect for a very early start today, it was 50 outside and 60 in the garage with the humidity just above 50%.  She was already clean, but I went over the car with waterless wash and wiped her down twice.

The trim restorer works very well, I hadn't realized how dull the mirrors had gotten and the front cowl was really bad, they are nice and black now.       Following the WW, I pulled out the Ceramic Wax and was careful on the volume on the pad.  Paying careful attention to how the wax looked before I started wiping it off, I found 2 minutes to ideal with today's temp and humidity.  The 2 minutes allowed me to do one panel, excluding the hood, which I did in two parts.

After each panel was complete, I would go back over the previous two panels with a separate double soft to make sure I got everything, then I would start waxing the next panel.  I figured if I wiped each panel three times, I'd be assured of no left over wax.  Following the wax, I let it sit an hour, got a clean double soft and wiped it one more time.  Next was Ceramic Boost 2.0, this was my first use of 2.0, since I didn't have enough 1.0 in the bottle to do the whole car.  CB 2.0 went on very easy and I followed the same process as CW.  Finally, I topped it with Brilliant Glaze for the pop factor.

I'll add this to the do's and don't listing, but a word or caution, do not get CW on your convertible top unless you are prepared for some real work to get it off.

The first two pictures are of the car today after it was done.  The collage is the journey from shortly after we purchased it, through the engine rebuild and the body.

Finally, I want to thank all the members on the forum who have provided input with a special call out to @falcaineer @shane@detailedreflections @pirahnah3 and @mc2hill.  Chris, Shane, Jim, Michael, I really appreciate all the advice and notes as we went through this project - Thank You.

The knowledge that gets dropped at these is insane! Shane is amazing, but get Marquise talking interior work and you will be BLOWN away. His new recruit is definately detail oriented and while I have not seen in person a ton of his work I can say what I saw was impressive.

Great advice above, @shane@detailedreflections has some great experience with water spots, certainly the advice I would follow.

In the Adams line I would follow this route

    Fine Clay
    Clay
    Revive
    Finishing Polish
    One Step
    Clay Mitt
    Correcting Polish
Heavy Correcting (I might not try this one but its an option)

You can try a fine polish. You want to go least to most aggressive. Do a test spot and see how it looks.

One word on water spots though...polish them. Then put the car in the sun for a few hours and see if they come back. Continue to do this until they’re gone. It’s essentially a heat cycle to bring them back out if they’re still there. Once they’re gone after a heat cycle, layer your protection products on.

So here is the solution I came up with. Just a loop of black cord. I also bought some rubber edge trim from Amazon to keep the racks from scratching the polishers.
