zapdon reacted to Dan@Adams in Next Up: 2006 Pontiac GTO - Full Correction and Ceramic Coating!
I still need to do a little more compounding around the edges of the headlights, but I am going to ceramic coat them. I will recommend to the owner to have them professionally clear coated, but that will be up to him. I don't have a paint gun or paint booth to do things like that 😞
I did however prep the vehicle tonight with Surface Prep and then applied Adam's UV Ceramic Paint Coating onto all body panels. No in-process pictures of the application this time, since I wanted to get it done before 1:30AM, which I did. Here's a picture of it applied and curing though 🙂
Tomorrow night - interior cleaning, one more compounding step on the headlights, then coating the headlights and wheels. It should be ready for the owner by Thursday or Friday evening, and then I have another Holden next in line after this one!

Detailed the girlfriend's ride on the weekend of the 4th. This color was asking to be saved and pop. Did a clay bar, 2 step polish and ceramic spray on it. She has had it for 3 years and never a true detail on it. Was covered in swirls and a few scratches. Did over 3 days.

@zapdonNice work on that great color! We were driving with friends (not car people) last summer and both the wives commented on the that color paint on a Miata. Mazda did a great job with that red candy.

The finished product at the show. I was very pleased with the outcome.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but ceramic coating takes all the fun out of detailing. It is now nothing more then a wash and dry. If I am not out in the garage twice a year washing, claying, polishing and waxing I am lost. The detailing is enjoyable to me.polishing, and it just seems that once the ceramic is on the car those steps are gone, at least for a while.

Tools of the trade for application
Dan@adams stated to clean with ceramic in between the restorer and ceramic coating.

No one says you can't use Detail Spray on your interior.

zapdon reacted to mc2hill in Dreaming of a detail cart
I have a collapsible cart. Not sure if I found out about it on this forum, or another detailing forum, but is a very nice cart, that only take up a small space, and easily fits on the truck for mobile work.
Of course it has been 'blinged' out with Adam's and Rupes decals, and a power strip added to one end.

New to forum as Estrella Mountain Detailing, in Goodyear, AZ. Have used just about every Adam's product faithfully for over 6 years now. Still as passionate about it as I was back in 2011 when I bought my first inventory for my 04 Corvette Coupe. Many cars later, and on my current 2013 Chevy Camaro Convertible 2SS, I am about to celebrate my first year anniversary as a full-time detail shop. Daily drivers to high-end auction and car-show winners, Adam's has been my brand of choice all along. Thank you for continually developing better technologies and advancing our passions!

zapdon reacted to Greg from GA in H20 G&G on outside kept car
Damn that H20 G&G continues to impress me. Here is a friends Q5 that lives outside. It is a lease and he treats it as such. I detailed it a few months ago - that's probably the last time it was touched. This weekend we detailed the interior and exterior and ended with a wet car and H20 G&G. Amazing how much life it breathed into this paint.
