Ceramic coating brake calipers?
BrandonL posted a question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Can ceramic coat brake calipers or do they get too hot? If so should I use the regular paint ceramic or the wheel ceramic? The surface is painted with a high temp paint. Thanks for any help! -

covering car for winter -- prep and cover
BrandonL replied to Kevm's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Do not go with a Stormproof, it'll freeze to your paint. The only cover that will not freeze is Weathershield. All of the big companies will sell it. -

Ceramic Paste or Patriot Paste

Thanks for the responses. Does Patriot Wax repel dirt like Ceramic Paste does? -
Ceramic Paste or Patriot Paste
BrandonL posted a question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I just got a container of Patriot Paste wax in my latest mystery box. Since it is SiO2 infused, will it work just as well as the traditional Ceramic Paste wax since I've already ceramic coated my car? -
I have a brand new unused Patriot Wax and a gallon of detail spray that I'm looking to trade for ceramics. Specifically, I'm looking for ceramic paste, waterless wash, and boost. Both the wax and detail spray are brand new and un used. I got them in a mystery box and can't really use them because I'm already ceramic coated.

I polished and ceramic coated my car with Adams products a couple of months ago and it looked perfect when it was done. I park it outside and after a couple of months of exposure to the elements and spraying it down with waterless wash every day (I don’t have access to wash my car where I live) there are some light scratches and halos. Has anyone experienced this? Would the sprayable compound work to polish the ceramic coating and remove those without removing the coating? Would a top coat of one of the ceramic waxes help hide it?

Detail spray streaking
BrandonL replied to BrandonL's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Thanks everyone, I appreciate all of the feedback. Guess I'll save the detail spray for the next time I clay my wife's car and just use the waterless wash in it's place for quick touchups. One more question. I was told that the ceramic waterless wash can lead to an excess build up of ceramics (?) and not to use it too frequently. I have to park my car outside and have been using detail spray to keep my car looking as clean as possible at least once a day. Will that be an issue if I switch over to ceramic waterless wash with the same frequency? -
Hey everyone, I used to detail cars in college and used Adams products pretty much exclusively. After college I got out of it and didn’t really have a fun car that I cared about taking care of but I’ve just now finally picked up something fun so now I’m back. I polished out my car and ceramic coated it with Adams products. I used to use gallons of detail spray but now I find that it streaks on the ceramic coating. Is this something that other people have experienced too?

Checking Detail Steps
BrandonL replied to DieselDude's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Good choice . You're probably going to have go over it a few times with the Swirl and Haze Remover and the Orange pad. Then finish with the Fine Machine Polish and Machine Super wax like you plan. wait for at least 12 hours before you apply the Buttery Wax though as you might get some light hazing that you would need to wipe off from the curing of the Machine Super Wax. Other than that you're looking good. Just make sure to work slow and in small areas at a time and you're golden -

Just wanted to mention again......
BrandonL posted a question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
If anyone in the San Fernando Valley/ Greater LA area is looking for detailing supplies be sure to check out Bruce Papp (b_pappy on the forums). I am completely floored at the level of service that Bruce continues to provide me with and it is a pleasure to do business with him and his lovely wife Tracy every time. I'm currently trying to start up a side business detailing cars and not only has he helped me out with great pricing and product recommendations but he has even gone so far as to refer business to me. So for that, Bruce, I thank you. You have not only proven yourself to be an asset to the Adams team but you have grown to be a good friend. Teena and I will have to hook up with you two for dinner some time in the next few weeks -
Waxing over fresh pinstriping?
BrandonL replied to BrandonL's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Thanks for the suggestion, Bruce. I'll think about that. This was kind of a spur of the moment thing so I haven't really thought about the next step but I wouldn't be against having someone else pull some lines on it -
