  1. He got the bumper cleaned up with CLR before we got your SVRT suggestion. Thanks anyway, Matt.
  2. Unfortunately we don't know the brand of the bumper. It was installed by a previous owner. It is textured.
  3. A friend has a Jeep with a powdercoated tubular bumper. He took it off-road (as you should do with a Jeep) and got a little mud on it. After he washed it, the mud seems to have left behind some deposits, or "stains", on the bumper. We've tried APC and some other home-type remedies but the stains persist. Any ideas?
  4. Oh, you're supposed to add water to the bottle? I thought I was going through a LOT of shampoo using my new MTM. Used it for the first time the other day. Got a great foam out of it but was using straight shampoo and was thinking I must be doing something wrong. Haha
  5. Took me a bit of looking and reading through this thread but I do like how the "new content" options work.
  6. I watched a documentary last weekend: "Jiro Dreams of Sushi". What's that you say? A documentary about Sushi? Sounds extremely interesting (sarcasm)! Well, it wasn't so much about Sushi as it was about a man's obsession with being the best at what he chose to do. Shokunin is a Japanese term that loosely means "to master an art". You may have heard of Jiro in the news or on a foodie show. But what you don't realize until you watch the movie is how extremely dedicated he is to mastering his art (making Sushi). This man who is nearly 90 years old practically thinks of nothing more than making Sushi every day of his life AND making it better today than he ever has before. Just try to imagine that! Every day for nearly his entire adult life! I was watching this movie as the Super Sealant did it's thing on my car and it struck me how this "Shokunin" concept goes so well with detailing. Although Jiro may be a bit extreme, it has earned him the reputation of being the best Sushi artisan in the world. And I think all of us on this forum can relate to continually striving for a more perfect painted surface. Take some time and watch this movie. I bet you'll be asking yourself a lot of interesting questions.
  7. Unlike a good microfiber towel, particles picked up by the chamois have nowhere to go so they get attached to the surface of the chamois and get scraped across the paint surface. These particles get picked up into the fibers of a MF so there is less of a chance they'll cause micro scratches. Also, you'll be amazed at how efficient Adam's MF towels soak up the water.
  8. It was probably 1984 and the car was a '74 Ford Galaxy 500. It was heavily oxidized and partially rusted. It looked like crap and I was tired of it. I put a lot of teenage elbow grease and Turtle Wax polish into that thing and got nothing in return. I vowed that when I owned my own cars they'd never get into that condition.
  9. Great job! Came out better than mine but I didn't spend 2 hrs either. What did you use to agitate?
  10. Nicely done video of a beautiful car! Add A Ferrari Lusso to Your Morning Ritual | Articles
  11. Beautiful car! I wish you could've included a picture of the owner's face when they first saw it.
  12. Yeah, show us that GN. Oh, and welcome!
  13. Very nice write-up (and results). Thanks for taking the time to list out each step with products and links.
  14. If you're a DIY'er, you'll really appreciate this one: Build to Fail, Fail to Build. What is this I don't even..... It's a just like a bad accident. You just can't stop looking.
