  1. I know there was a thread explaining that using ONLY American made products just wasn't feasible with the Flex, Rupes, PC, and quality microfiber products being foreign produced but other than that it was still my understanding that Adam's specific products would remain American made.
  2. Your test section is supposed to be on the a section representative of the overall all condition of your paint. If the rear of the vehicle is much worse than the front, you should have done your test section there to get an accurate idea of what kind of labor you were looking at. The only reason that they always do videos and demonstrations on hoods is because it is much easier to see from a crowd and much easier to film, not because they necessarily recommend doing your test section there. Also, the damage incurred did not come from any technique shown in their paint correction, but rather from contamination that was not removed from the vehicles surface before beginning paint correction. I have found the paint correction method to work just fine, though it will change slightly depending on your technique, the tools you are using, and the complexity and condition of the vehicle you are correcting. I do not believe the videos are at all misleading as a whole, but were maybe misunderstood by you when viewing them.
  3. I'd be down for a 3xl, 2xl won't quite cut it with these shirts.
  4. Picked up 65 40lb bags of dyed mulch and delivered them to my parents house and hauled off an old door from my own house over the weekend.
  5. Hey Eric, I think you are supposed to keep your mirrors INSIDE the house.. lol
  6. Turned out very well! Nice work!
  7. It would be very cool if more of the admin/people attending events had login info for the snapchat and posted event coverage if they are willing!
  8. Slick car, and welcome to the forum!
  9. x3 on the Paint Sealant. It can even make your headlight and taillight lenses look pretty good.
  10. The problem with attempting a Strip Wash using Rinseless Wash which contains wax additives is that while you are washing with the intent of removing all of the existing LSPs, you are adding wax to the surface at the same time making it far less effective than strip washing with Car Shampoo which contains no wax...
  11. Road Trip to Fort Worth, Texas for some contract required meetings this week and expecting a lot of rain so... 1) I washed the truck 2) H2O G&G Application 3) Detail Spray wipedown the next day 4) Re-applied Glass Sealant on the windshield 5) Undercarriage Spray on front and rear suspension components 6) VRT on door handles, bed caps, mirrors, antennae base, and fender well liners 7) Vacuumed and Interior Detail Spray wipedown on interior She should be ready to go now . iPhone may take okay daylight pictures but every evening shot turns out super grainy
  12. 23yo paint that looks better than most cars only a few years old on the road today; I like it!
  13. The wash pads are still great tools. I generally use 2-3 of them depending on how dirty my truck is, but I have a lot more surface area than an average car.
  14. Waterless wash does not have any wax additives in it, so while it may be effective at preventing water spots while drying, it won't add and gloss to the finish.
  15. So today my new billet aluminum grille badge came in. I ordered it as "polished" but it came in looking more like the door of a stainless steel refrigerator. So I got out my Adam's Polishes Metal Polish Number 2 but realized I forgot to order a couple metal polishing pads with the Metal Polishes... Being the incredibly patient individual that I am when it comes to putting new parts on my truck, I waited all of 15 seconds before deciding to use an old cheap microfiber and my PC to tackle the job so I could go ahead and install it until the Metal Polishing Pads come in. Surprisingly, the short knapp side stuck to the hook and loop backing plate pretty hard allowing me to use speed 4.5-5 to polish the badge. It came out looking pretty great even, I'm definitely happy with the results for using such a crude method.
  16. Great looking G8! Welcome to the forum!
  17. I agree with those above, it does a good job as a drying agent and even contains some wax additives similar to Detail Spray.
  18. ABSOLUTELY! I do this during every wash that isn't a strip wash. Rinseless Wash has wax additives which add a little gloss even during a normal maintenance wash when added to your regular wash bucket. This is counterproductive when strip washing though as the purpose then is to remove the wax and other products from the vehicle's surface.
