  1. The history>>>>It's a '66. I bought it about a year and a half ago from a guy in Kansas City and have just been taking my time fixing things on it and replacing 50 year old parts to new ones. I'm finally down to a very short list of things left to do before I go to interior and have the bodywork and paint done. It's like my baby so I hate for it not to be home for extended periods of time which is why I'm trying to make it through one more summer without paint. Last summer I couldn't really do a lot of driving during the car season because it's so hot here in Louisiana and these cars are bad about becoming heat soaked, but after rebuilding the transmission, having the carb rebuilt, the oil pump replaced, a new air drier and freon, new exhaust, new gaskets, etc. it may be worthy enough to go to a few small local shows this spring.
  2. That 1 Pic really doesn't do it justice.
  3. Thanks Rich. This was my first use of my Flex 3401 so I was eager to try it out by its definitely a job that you have to clear the day for. I'm super happy with the results of Adam's products. The buttery wax was like.....well butter going on and coming off. I was a bit skeptical about the glaze that I got last week in my mystery box but it was super shiny. My eyes had to adjust for a few minutes after staring at the chrome for too long.
  4. After a day and of half doing a clay bar, paint correction, Polish, glaze and wax using all Adams products, I'm finally finished. I wasn't able to cut the spots out of my paint that I was originally going after but I'm more than happy with the results on this 50 yo car. It shines so bright, it's blinding in the sun in reality. Now I can hopefully hold out another summer before getting the body work and paint done on it.

  6. I will post up some pics as soon as I can figure out how to make that happen.
  7. I've been buying Adam's products for awhile now, and finally decided to join the forum. I just bought a Flex 3401 ($150 after my company gave me gift cards to make up the difference) and am looking to do some serious paint correction on my '66 Cadillac in hopes that I can postpone a brand new paint job for another year. Hopefully I won't regret buying the Flex over the Rupes. I've been going back and forth and around in circles trying decide which one would be the best for me. I have been into detailing on my own vehicles for quite sometime now, probably since being a teenager. My current fleet includes an '08 CC Silverado, '14 Yukon, & '14 Maxima all which give me a complete workout on any day that I decide to detail them from top to bottom. I'm looking to pick up as many helpful tools that I can on this forum and to meet some pretty cool people too!
