  1. Shane..definitely would have him talk with you if was in the area. He has watched some Adams videos so is considering doing it himself. I know it is a big job. Have done full size Silverados by myself and they are a lot of work.
  2. So it is was a purple dye job?! I should explain...one of my Managers at a previous workplace told us that if the CEO's Secretary came and told us to do something that we should consider it the same as the CEO asking, as she would not just come asking for herself. Of course he was having this conversation as someone in the department had told her he was to busy to do a copy job for her (yes he was some kind of special). So our Manager told us all that "If she (the secretary) asked you to dye your "sh*t" purple, you go out and buy purple dye and dye it!" Thereafter, whenever an urgent job/task came up we called it a "purple dye job". Your shirt made me think of that! Thanks for the post and the funny memory.
  3. Hi All, Have a good friend who is currently living in El Paso, TX. He recently purchased a Black Escalade. I cannot fly down to help coach him on polishing and then Ceramic Coating his vehicle (am out currently due to a knee injury & see the Orthopedic Surgeon in ten days to determine If Surgery/Type - if so am out for two months at least, otherwise would accept his offer). Anywho, he is not confident in his ability to complete the tasks. Therefore, am helping him out by looking to see who might be recommended (or is on the forum) that is in his area. Looking forward to hearing back.
  4. Welcome to the forums Christian!
  5. Hope all of our Adams "Family" and Friends in Colorado are safe!
  6. Husband told me that he had to meet a client, 75 minutes from home. So rode with him as had a drop off for one my "local" Adams Polishes customers. Did the drop of International detail spray and PS odor neutralizer, then went to the mall as we still had at least another hour or so before meeting with his client. Went to the food court after shopping as apparently the client was going to meet him there (strange, figured we would need to go to the clients house, as my husband is an insurance agent and often has to take pictures). Well, shortly thereafter two of our friends showed up, one of them being Gary Gregory of Forced Air Designs (air brush artist, he is friends with and works with Mike Lavallee (sp?)). Only then did I realize that my husband actually brought me out to get my birthday gift a few days early! It is a custom air brushed hood liner to go in Hot Crush, my 2018 Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Special Edition Camaro M6 Convertible! Just a few years ago Gary also did the hood liner for my 2013 Hot Wheels SE (45th Anniversary) Camaro Auto Coupe and it was also given to me as a surprise for my Birthday! Just in case you all are not getting one of the reasons I love Hot Wheels is that we both introduced into the world the same year Hood liner pictures attached. Feeling so loved!
  7. Could scan the logo and convert it into an embroidery pattern with software have for my embroidery machine...but then the hubby would know I know how to use it and have me sewing all kinds of things, he mentioned one day embroidered headrest covers for his 100th Anniversary Silverado...lol Plus it would be copyright infringement
  8. Unfortunately due to our Severe Winter Snowstorm the turnout for the show was really low. Unlike last year where the show had over 5000 visitors. Oh well, made some new contacts and customers, hopefully tomorrow morning more people will venture out, as we are having another round of snow Sunday Night and again Tuesday. Very rare for us to have ten days of freezing weather. Although, know it is not as bad as what hit the Midwest and Northeast not to long ago. Anywho here are a couple of pictures from this morning..mind you this is the dirtiest my truck has ever been!
  9. We were supposed to have a nice Corvette Cheetah at the event. Unfortunately, due to the weather in the Siskyou's (the car is kept in CA) it will not be making it. Better to keep that treasure safe than sorry.
  10. I know right?! Most get trailered that are being sold, and others stay home. Especially this weekend as we are due to get in more snow. By the way Rich, am sending you a message...have something for you that just came in with my order, and I know you want it
  11. Thank you Adam! I agree, most of us come here to find out about new products, build on our experience, help others, and also develop new friendships. I can tell from when met you and Bianca last year at Park Place auto that you truly love and have a passion for detailing along with your brand. You truly do care. At the clinic you did not rely on anyone else to demo the products, it was you. Additionally, I was right there when you were calling to reschedule your flight because you felt the need to stay later because the clinic went longer. You sacrificed countless hours away from your family that night and as well many others during your decade of building the company. Thank you for all you do and thank you for making this statement about this site being for the positive!
  12. Hi all! Will be heading to the 45th Corvette High Performance (swap) Meet in Puyallup, WA. ( http://www.corvettehp.com/chp-meet ) Will be located in the ShowPlex in space 4209/4309 (see attached map and green circled area High performance meet map 2019.pdf ) on February 8th and setting up my 10x20 Adams Polishes booth. For the setup day (Friday Feb 8th) the only way to get in is if you have a vendor pass, so if any of you want to help set up & get in early... PM me Otherwise, if you are in the area, stop in and say hello. Any Adams Polishes & Novistretch Purchases from my booth that weekend over $100 and you will receive reimbursement for 1 general admission entry fee! Will post photos Friday after everything is set up. This is a very large event and they get over 5000 car enthusiasts shopping, so wish me luck!!
  13. Or you drain the water from the toilet & use the 12mm SK to polish out the hardwater stains & then use H2O G&G...(couldn't wait for Ceramic Coating to set). I also coated the bathroom sinks. Shower doors will be getting done soon too.
  14. Sorry I only have three brothers...no sisters. I was always told if going to play with the boys I better not come home crying...so I tried to be just as good at everything they did too. Which as it turns out I am WAY better at detailing & racing cars then them 😁. Funny story though...they came home one day when was in my teens & told my parents I couldn't play tackle football (just neighborhood games...not leagues) with them anymore as the guys on the other teams were letting me tackle them & my brothers were tired of having "talks" with those guys. It was kind of hard dating in school as all the guys knew about my brothers because of those talks & my brothers always met with the guy before a date to tell them that if I cried they would cry. My Dad never had to say anything. Needless to say I dated & married a guy from a neighboring school...lol
  15. For the dremel used the polishing tool that looks like a cone for any scratched parts on the inside of the spokes & a wheel shaped pad to get between the bolt heads. For just polishing in between used a drill & the mothers cone (it is larger)...went in from the backside with it, I also have some Ryobi cloth polishing attachments that work. Mostly used my drill attachments otherwise my polishing pads on my 12mm SK would have been torn up. Owner is not in a rush so am finishing up the larger tires Sunday morning. Will try to remember to take a picture of all the different attachments.
  16. Friend/Customer is selling his car & had a set of drag radials/rims that he left in his trailer...they were a little messed up...he is not in a hurry so am doing them in between other things...started out by rinseless washing, then polished. He also said not to do the drums...but don't think I can stand to let them go out of the shop looking like that (will take pic of the drum tomorrow). Plus need to get new polishing tool accessories for my dremel (was out) for in between the spokes as it takes too much time getting in those spaces by hand...which of course just had my nails done but had gloves that match 😜💅🧤 Tomorrow will work on the rears....

    Food Thread

Sticky buns for my Thursday treat day....Normally I get up early at 5 am Thursday & bake...why you ask? For some reason I started waking up early on Thursday about 18 months or so ago...and it now is habit or ritual...lol. However, do not have the time tomorrow as have an early day so decided to make them tonight.
