  1. If you want to be sure, just clean them. Soak them for a while or even over night in a bucket with Dawn (that's what I use). And then wash them with Micro Revitalizer and hot water (I know....use warm or cold cause it's better for the fabric). I like the results I get with hot water. And line dry them or air dry them in the dryer. Or just use new towels.
  2. Can you pop it off easily? If you can get it off, you could scrub it better with some soap, a brush, and a hose.
  3. I use the Spray Graphene Coating on my 427 and on my Equinox (which is black). Get great durability with it, and for me, it was pretty easy to do as long as I followed the steps. But I got great results on both cars.
  4. Looks great with the black top! Nice project. And I'm glad you caught us up to date with it. Looking forward to your next "installment".
  5. I have both of my rides protected with the GSC. Full correction with polishing is the way to go. Without the polishing, you're not going to get the BEST results.
  6. Welcome to the forum Bryan!
  7. I'm trying to figure out why you would use anything with double stick tape on it on your paint that you're not planning on leaving there permanently. That stuff, if it's been on a while, is known to remove clear coat and a couple layers of paint when it's removed. All I can tell you is go gently, and if you see it pulling up your paint, leave the mirror caps where they are and live with them. If you do get them off, do a full correction on your mirrors. Let us know what happens.
  8. Ask anyone on here. The only things those things do is leave micro scratches in your paint. Stick around and you'll learn the RIGHT way to care for your paint.
  9. Welcome to the forum TJ! Nice truck!
  10. Thanks Scott. She sees the Ortho on Wednesday. Hopefully she'll get some answers then. Right now, she's using a walker in the house, and can't go out except to get into the car and go for a ride. Shopping, walking, etc. are out. She's still saying she's going in August no matter what. So if we don't make it to GM, we'll see you at Vettes.
  11. My Arctic White is a 2013.It does have a "bluish" tint to it. Wash it, clay, and polish the paint. Then go the way you like best, whether it's wax or ceramic. Just keep in mind that it's almost 25 year old paint on fiberglass, so it's not going to come all the way back. We do the best we can with these cars. Welcome to the forum!
  12. Welcome to the forum Robert. Once you see the results from cleaning and detailing the right way, you won't ever go back to the way you used to do it.
