It's pretty good stuff! I tested it during the R&D phase and used it with the Foam Cannon, as described, and really liked the immediate hydrophobics and the shine it adds. I've actually used it a couple of times, and I think you'll like it, too.

Thought I would give a follow up.

Made it to the Tent Sale last weekend, got there about 3 hours before opening and was 10th in line. The guy at the front of line said he arrived at 5am, so I was not too far off from being at the front. Adam stopped by and chatted with all us at the front of line for a bit, was nice to get some insight on items and exchange good stories.

They only had one Pro Series pressure washer, and it got claimed by somebody in front of me. They had tons of Active 2.0 units, so I grabbed one of those and was happy. Also did not have any Deionizers, but a Heated Carpet Extractor found it's way into my pile... That should be a nice upgrade over the small, old Bissell unit I've been using. Also picked up a plethora of chemicals, supplies, snub nose, foam cannons, etc... Should give me plenty to get myself setup before the next tent sale this fall haha.

Got home and checked things over, after opening the Active 2.0 it was clear it had never been opened. Everything was still sealed, the only issue I saw was the box has a little rough, I think it just looked bad so they put it in the pile. And the carpet extractor looked like it had been used once and returned, gave it a washout and tested it, everything works great on it. Overall, pretty happy! Just need the credit card to recover now haha.

@TR6speed Hi Jack,  I'll be back in Dade City in the next few weeks and have some of the 64 oz bottles if you are interested in meeting up for lunch and a trade.

Perhaps you did not let set up enough before wiping it off in that temperature.  Also give it a good shake if it has been sitting for some time.

Excellent article Falcaineer! Funny, I could not find it by searching the Adams website, even the news area? I think jumping to the tire brush would be the opposite extreme since I'm currently dealing with bristles that are too soft. Plus ive seen other members and your opinion about the bristles being too stiff. The wheel brush seems to be an option but I'd like to keep the long handle that I've got with my current "cheap" brush. The wheel wollie or the barrel brush make sense for doing inner sides of the spokes, but perhaps not the best for tires and the wheel face.

You bet. The Adam's 2.0 and Pro are really quiet, while the Active has a bit higher pitch.

Adam's has designed the Pro and the Adam's 2.0 to optimize them for detailing, balancing both GPM and PSI. The Pro is also adjustable PSI but works great as-is. It's also extremely quiet, as is the 2.0. The Pro isn't offered with a wheel kit, at nearly 100lbs with the hose it's not something you want rolling at your car. That said, you can get a simple dolly to make it more mobile, if you so desire. I got one from Harbor Freight to do just that for floorspace until I can get it mounted.

This article should help. Personally, I don't like the newest Tire Brush, the bristles are too stiff. The Wheel Brush is fairly soft and would help with cleaning, while the Boar's Hair brush is even softer.

Really depends on the results you're after. CS3 is super easy go use and would offer longer protection. HGG is also really easy and longer lasting.

They're generally about the same, but I would try the APC, steel wool and polish. I think you'll be happy with the results!

Yes! APC and some corresponding brushes. And when you have baked on soot, #0000 steel wool (find it at Home Depot, for example) with APC. Follow up with Metal Polish 1 & 2, or One Step Metal Polish, and a microfiber applicator pad to polish to a great shine! Be forewarned, the applicator pads will turn really black so be prepared to use more than one and you may need to toss them after unless you clean them well and dedicate to metal.

Deionizer Update:  So I pulled the trigger and ordered the mixed bed std. unit with the bypass valve. Should receive it Saturday. I give an update on. It's performance once I use it.

falcaineer got a reaction from Marshall in Spotless Water Deionizer Purchase??
There used to be a chart on the website showing estimated usage but I can't find it now. If you save it for the final rinse, I think it's safe to assume you'll get dozens of washes with it, but that is determined by the hardness of your water and how long you're running it to rinse. For example, the Adam's 2.0 pressure washer is 1.4 GPM, so if you rinse for 2-3 minutes that's only a few gallons of water.

If you struggle with hard water spots, the Deionizer is the tool for you. You can always get more resin when it's time.

+1. Not sure about how tall you are or how much of a reach you have, but most benches are relatively short and ladders can be cumbersome. That's a pretty tall vehicle and you don't want to be hampered by your ability to reach all areas. Good luck, and let us know what you choose to use...

Look for a tool rental place near you and they should have scaffolding for rent. Then you would just work your way down the roof. That is how I would attempt it.

Only the high spots, not the coating. The general rule is to start least aggressive, so you're on the right track with using that early in the process.

The product page states 12-18 months.  Most longevity claims use the word up to.  If the vehicle is exposed to harsh elements then expect that durability to be cut almost by 50%.

That's my suggestion since nothing else seems.to be working, yes. And longevity is only an estimate, not a guarantee. Like I said, many factors are in play that could affect it. It could also be the coating on the sides wasn't applied the same leading to different performance over time. If you don't feel like doing it all now, work panel by panel over a few days or even weeks. Compound and blue foam pad should remove it, then Surface Prep it and reapply the coating. As much time as you're investing in it trying to fix it, you could just redo it with a little more time and be happier. But it's your decision.

I was about to say the same thing, lots of factors go into the longevity, might be time to start over.

How soon I forget?! You're right, thanks for keeping me honest. Adding a couple of ounces probably won't hurt, but the new formula is more aggressive than the old so just use a bit more caution. Sorry for any confusion.

You can uae the Towel and Pad Revitalizer but I don't reuse them on paint if I do wash them. Any coating that cured in the fibers could scratch. They also probably won't absorb very well. Bottom line, use them for dirty jobs or toss them.
