  1. So did a little searching and didn't seem to find all the answers lol When cleaning a UTV plastic windshield I know cleaning with water ie rinsing off first is key... That being said would it make sense to use say waterless wash after the windshield is rinsed off ? I Know some have recommended guard and gloss and some have even said Adams glass cleaner i think... Would any be more or less correct so to speak or would they all be good? being that the windshield is washed off first and the proper method is used ie microfiber one pass flip towel ect...
  2. awesome info thanks a bunch that give the me the direction I needed
  3. Ok so as I gather all my new toys and products together for the next not raining day off...I am trying to get everything strait in my head...Its a pearl White finish with metallic and in overall great shape ...some very minor love marks here and there nothing major... So after wash and clay would Revive be best prior to LPS or would Brilliant glaze be a better choice after clay prior to LPS??? Or would there be any benefit to go all crazy and after clay go to revive and then Brilliant Glaze and finish off with LPS??? I guess I am a little overwhelmed with all these choice and what would give me the most on a white pearl metallic finish
  4. So as a fathers day gift the wife had my CX5 fully detailed at a shop I know and have used on another car in the past that was a swirl mess. They do incredible work and I am super pleased with the result. The CX5 is a pearl white Metallic and it never really popped that is until they got done with it. Ok so on to my question they washed did minor correction and polished and sealed with a product called "Black Pearl" he described it as a polymer based sealant. I am just not familiar with the product... anyone ever heard of it or used it? The finish is super slick and even and has super tight water beads and sheets water very well . So being a "polymer sealant" what would be the best "layering approach? Wash and hit with detail spray and call it good? Top with guard and gloss and maybe hit with a little brilliant glaze every so often? or just maybe a topcoat of say buttery Wax?
  5. So I just bought a new Mazda CX5 and the dealer did a FANTASTIC job on the delivery detail! really looks fantastic...The one question I have is that the car was treated/coated with STS 3000 paint sealant...Looks and feels great but I'm not familiar with the product and don't know how it will interact with my Adams products and routine... Such as detail spray, guard and gloss and buttery wax for example... Anyone have any thought or experience with this product?? Thanks
  6. That's good to know and Paint sealant sounds like the way to go... So am I correct in assuming that the process would be : Strip wash Clay Paint sealant guard and gloss possibly top with buttery wax then use detail spray for basic upkeep
  7. Great info TheWolf Thanks a bunch... So is Pint Sealant more "forgiving" in its application? and as I am current doing all work by hand how good is the paint sealant when applied by hand vs machine?
  8. ok so when it comes to guard and gloss and VRT I have a question... so if you use guard and gloss all over trim ect and would you use VRT on the plastic trim pieces around wheels and lower rocker trim? or would that not work? I guess I am looking for some clarity on the sequence for the plastic trim ext when using guard and gloss as not to waste product for no real benefit... in addition post winter I am going at a minimum with paint sealant and was considering using ceramic trim coating for all those black trim bits...and thoughts on this?? and is ceramic coating a better option than just paint sealant or just different?
  9. So I have been a fan of Adams detail spray for a while but have decided to go all Adams with my newest car. So I am just a little confused on which direction to go as there are so many choices... I am from the old school group you used to wash, wax and use detail spray in-between....so all this extra is overwhelming I Was thinking id go: Adams Shampoo-H2o G&G and follow up with Buttery wax and uses detail spray in-between washes Then as I read more ... I began to get confused (Maybe) Adams shampoo-Paint Sealant- H2O G&G then some buttery wax no buttery wax, wax instead of G&G still use detail spray???? Any thoughts would be great as I want to keep the pretty metallic blue .....well looking pretty... Here is how it looks now...
