So to the best of my understanding, sealant should be the last or next to last step of your exterior detailing process. But I want to clay my car before sealing with H2O. Do I wash, dry (without using the H2O), clay and then re-wet the surface and use the H2O then? If so, would I just use detailing spray as a drying aid?

Recently purchased the winter prep kit and realized after the fact that the clay that comes with it is a refill and does not come with the geoimpression tool. I assume the clay can be used as standard clay, but am I losing out on performance as a result? Or am I wrong and will not using the tool cause me to have trouble using the clay? Thanks ahead of time!
