  1. Appreciate your honesty. I was one of the few who bought a lot of those American made accessories, such as the 100' blue 3/4'' Goodyear hose, the 50' American made extension cord, the brass quick disconnects, etc. And I absolutely love all of them! Especially the Goodyear hose, while it is a beast to handle, it gives me more pressure and was well worth the inflated price. I know I'm in the minority, but I loved all those American made accessories Adam's used to carry. However, I do understand it's a business and if stuff isn't selling well, it needs to go. I guess I'm just disappointed because I waited to get a new foam gun and now the American made red ones are gone. And for the record, I'm not one to spout about BUY AMERICAN and not walk the walk. While I'm an avid Trump supporter, I do think it's ridiculous his clothing line is made in China. I made the decision a couple years ago to slowly phase my entire wardrobe into American made. I buy 90% of my clothes from ALLAMERICANCLOTHING.COM (not advertising, no affiliation with them, just a great website). I've spent a thousand dollars with this company in the last year alone. All my shoes are American Made New Balance. Boots/Socks/jeans/underwear/polo shirts/undershirts/workout shorts and shirts all MADE IN AMERICA. My only overseas clothing vice is my Polo Ralph Lauren collection. I stopped buying new stuff, but it's hard to throw away $1000s of dollars in clothes, haha. I just wish everyone had my mindset of American made first. I think this country would be in a lot better position, if so.
  2. Not to be a downer, but as a long time Adam's buyer ('06), I must say I'm quite displeased at the Made in China products that have infiltrated the website. I always loved the "Made in America" motto that Adam's used to push. This recent foray into overseas products has led me to buy less and less. Just being honest.
  3. About time they brought back the red car wash shampoo! I stopped buying the soap after it went blue, but I'll pick up the red again.
  4. Well I pretty much have given up on this new formula. Results have been poor for my liking, even with the 16 pumps per 32oz water. I'm just not getting the amount of lasting foam I once was with the old formula. I miss the old red cherry smelling soap so much! I switched to another brand of car soap and bought an MTM foam cannon and electric pressure washer. I'm getting much better coverage with the foam cannon vs my foam gun. Gives me more time to move around my entire truck to wash it, without the soap dissolving so quickly. Live and learn I guess.
  5. Same here. That's always been one of my biggest gripes with detailing carts, they're too low IMO. It's the first thing I look at when I'm thinking about a detailing cart, the overall height. I'm 6'4'' and the less I have to bend over while detailing, the better. I've always wanted to see a 48" detailing cart come out, something easier on the back. I love that idea of cutting holes into the cart for wash and rinse bucket. Only thing I could see even better, would be to drill holes along side the big holes so that splashed water would drain down.
  6. Never seen that before, awesome find
  7. Mine came with literally a dozen tips or more. I still have all the tips. I believe I'm in the middle to upper range as far as foam dispersion.
  8. I have a HydroFoamer that I've used for about 9 years now, it's the same gun I used with the old soap. Maybe I was a little trigger happy. Yeah much better results, I don't know why I thought 1 pump was an ounce, when I talked to Benjamin yesterday, he informed me 1 pump is anywhere from .20-.25 of an ounce.
  9. Nice video Dylan. I'm sitting in disbelief, never thought I'd see the day you'd leave the GM family JK Nice truck
  10. Gave it another shot earlier tonight and had better results. I went with 16 pumps to get a true 4oz ratio. Filled with water and gave it a good shake. The foam was thicker and stayed on the panels longer. I don't know if it's just my imagination or not, but I seemed to use more product with a single wash of my truck. I looked at the reservoir and it was a little less than half empty after my foaming. Is everyone getting the same results with a full size truck/suv? Should I expect to use 16-18oz of foam per full size wash? I will say I still miss the cherry bubblegum smell of the original car shampoo, but I have to get over that. I felt like a convict washing my truck at 10PM in my driveway with the spotlight on overhead Even though today was a permitted wash day for my address and it was after 6PM and technically still Monday, I never know if the neighbors will rat me out to the city water authorities, thinking I'm not following the allocated wash/water days. I will say one gets to really know the panels and contours of his/her vehicle while washing at night, since it's not easy to see around the entire vehicle. Pretty sure I can wash my truck now blindfolded, I hope this CA drought goes away this Fall/Winter, I'm not liking this schedule of not being able to wash my vehicles when I want to. Pretty soon I'll be out there at 3AM washing, just because I have the itch
  11. Yeah I just spoke with Bejamin @ Adam's and he informed me the approximate volume per pump is about ..20-.25oz per pump. So I had only really put in 1 oz, or maybe less. He said 8-12 pumps would be sufficient. I'll try that out later tonight when I wash and see how it goes.
  12. Haha, I just need to find some red soap. Kicking myself for never pulling the trigger on the 5 gallon soap.
  13. How many "pumps" are you guys putting into your foaming gun? I did 4 pumps, which I equated to 4 oz. So for those with good results, you fill with water, then 4 pumps, then shake? With the old soap, I would squeeze 4 times from the 16 oz bottle, then fill to top with water (32oz reservoir for my foam gun), then I'd be getting thick suds. I'm going to wash my truck again tonight and I'll try mixing it better as suggested. I hope I get better results. The smell is a big letdown for me though, God do I miss that cherry bubblegum smell from the old soap, it's weird how we become nostalgic to certain smells. I'd like to get a foam cannon, but have never gotten around to it, one of these days. However, with the mandated water restrictions here in CA now, we're ONLY allowed to water our grass on Mondays and Thursdays, which also includes car washing, and only before 11AM or after 6PM. Sucks because the wind usually kicks up like crazy after 6PM, and trying to wash a black truck in windy weather is very frustrating.
  14. I'll give this a shot next time. I did the same as before, put about 4oz of shampoo into the water, then foamed. I just noticed the foam wasn't as thick and tended to break down faster. I'm just being 100% honest in my assessment of the new shampoo. I'm a firm believer in the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and I believe the original car shampoo was an Adam's staple that shouldn't have been changed. Now if only I could get my hands on a 5 gallon mix of the red car shampoo
