  1. If it's ceramic pro you should have a warranty from the installer. You happen to check in to see if that damage is covered?
  2. Custom cut some clear bra for some high impact areas on my Jeep. Next up will likely be some for the front of the Jeep. Have some folks asking about me doing vinyl and I'm not necessarily looking to get into it. Coating installs are ramping up too...... Polished out defects like this. Hard to see in the white, but it wasn't terrible yet. This isn't driven too terribly often. Laying down vinyl on the hinges. Done Passenger rear done. These are kind of a pain as you see that indention there is fun to make sure you get flawless install. Driver side done All in all some lessons learned getting vinyl to lay just right in complex tiny areas. One area I had to pull off and redo as I wasn't satisfied with how it laid down. It always amazes me at how much this stuff can stretch and be pulled to cover complex curves, flawlessly.
  3. Hearing this is 9H eases some of my questions for longevity. However, as you normally do how did this hold up in comparisons against things like DLUX? I have DLUX on my wheels and plastics on my wrangler, but when that wears off I'm always open to alternatives.
  4. Did I PM you by chance? Can't recall. However, I do tend to try and stay at $10-20 an hour, which is basically slave labor. One of the many reasons I don't do this for a living.
  5. You can polish over those swirls on painted trim pieces much the same you can on paint. Just have to be careful. I've been with Cisco for almost 10 years. I work in cybersecurity.
  6. So a client I take care of.....well everything of theirs (cars, jet skis, etc) brought me his DD for a single stage polish and ceramic coating. Surprisingly enough a single stage polish got out about 90% of defects. Typical swirls Wheels bleeding out. Which I found interesting considering since I wouldn't predict that on a Caddy like this. Foam cannon laying down a nice thick layer of foam Scratch before All gone More swirls After...swirls all gone Zero reflectivity or shine in this paint here. Much better After in the sun....swirls are gone as are most defects. After Didn't get many full after pics as I was hustling to get this done.
  7. I hear ya. I don't have the time anymore to spend hours out in the garage polishing. If I do it's normally on clients cars, so mine get "neglected". I can't stand them being swirled up and coatings have been my life saver. Make washing a breeze. After a foam cannon spray and rinse down before 2 bucket wash, there isn't really any visible dirt/dust left on them. So a quick foam again and 2 bucket wash makes quick work of clean ups with limited chances to induce swirls/RIDS.
  8. Hold up there professor. You drive a Porsche yet don't think a ceramic coating is worth the price? A good one costs like what.....$80 for the kit. Especially if it'll save you from having to polish a black car as often? Def do some research then, it'll save you a world of headache.
  9. Yup this. Removed a bunch on cars, boats, jet skis, etc. Never once an issue. Granted anything with power tools and paint should be taken with caution.
  10. I'd put a good ceramic coating on that mofo ASAP! Will it help keep 100% of swirls away.....nope, but it'll help substantially coupled with proper washing techniques. Sadly adams doesn't offer one yet, but there are quite a few user friendly coatings out there for newbs and the protection is incredible. Just google search.
  11. 2016 Accord new car prep Decon of the wheels and paint using old deep wheel cleaner. Still have a gallon of that stuff left Deep foaming coverage with the foam cannon Clayed, paint prepped and inspected, and ready for 2 rounds of sealant. Paint sealant and dry application of H20. Sealant done Interior prep Wheels coated with quick sealant( glad I still have that left) and tires treated Final round of H20 G&G completed on everything ( plastics, rubber, glass, trim) Final inspection
  12. Yup, this....and Gloss coat is my weapon of choice. Although I have Dlux on my wheels/plastics. Which is all part of why I want adams to come out with something.
  13. Yeah that's the last time I heard anything about a coating is when Dylan was there.
