  1. If I recall the bottle doesn't say anything about being able to polish copper on it. So I figured I would give it a chance. I'm glad I did. More than impressed with the outcome.
  2. Bought this fire extinguisher off of my neighbor. I believe its 1940's era. Can't nail down an exact year but it still had the Glass jar inside and it was intact which is pretty rare! You can see how dirty and corroded the plate was. Here is what it looked like after I dipped it into muratic acid to get a surface I could polish. And here you can see what it looked liked after polishing with Adam's 1&2. I couldn't believe how well it turned it to a mirror shine. I don't have a good picture of the FINAL polish, but I dropped it off at a metal polishing service and he was also impressed with how well I got it by hand. They also clear coated it for me so it should look like new for 20 years! Here it is at its final resting place next to its friend.
  3. SVRT is the answer... I have matte wheels and they came back to live with SVRT Here is a before and after. And here is an in progress 50/50 shot. I LOVVVVE SVRT on my wheels.
  4. Im at the point where I will pick up some small bottles off Amazon just so I have a way to put something in the bags on the bike. The full size bottles would take up way too much room and I like to keep the bike clean when I ride.
  5. I hit them with SVRT after. TOTALLY wakes them up!
  6. or get a can of rustoleum clear coat with uv protectant in it and spray them. Only have to polish them once.
  7. I just checked the two that I own and they are not stamped made in China on mine! Like said above... shark that backed them probably took it over seas to make an extra $1.
  8. Better to be washed with brown paper towels than sucked into a sink hole I guess...
  9. Found this on another forum.... I could NEVER do this... I just don't get it. I can't even compute this in my mind on how you could take a car like that and whether its your car or not, and let a brown paper towel hit it. http://www.pfadtracing.com/blog/man-details-c7-corvette-with-paper-towel-cringe/ Sorry if its posted before, I did a search and couldn't find anything!
  10. I have the Access Limited on mine. Had it on my '08, transferred it to my '12. I love my soft cover because I do so much random spur of the moment hauling that I would have no place to put a hard cover. Only modification I did to it was, I actually screwed mine to the bed because all the clamps that I have ever seen on any of the covers suck and just don't keep their bite. Best thing I ever did to it. Just used some stainless self tappers.
  11. I get what you are saying. Sounds like I need to get another hand wash in and see if it still beads off. I know the salt mixture has been sitting on the truck for 3 weeks at a time so I just figured with it sitting on the paint and not being able to wash it off that it just sat there and ate away at the sealant. As for making sure its all off. I normally use the hotsy and pressure wash it off.
  12. The more I looked at it today since it was raining and not snowing... whatever combination they put on the roads here, the beading/no beading line is exactly where the salt has been sitting on the paint. Looks like its time to toss more wax on it. I figured the wax/sealant combo would have lasted longer than 2 months but they must use aggressive stuff here.
  13. The pressure wash is used to blast the salt from all the snow off. If I were to post a picture of my truck right now, then you would see that just a normal wash wont do! Definitely need to blast it first! The hot water just helps break the crap and crud down. Thats good to know! Might need to hit it with wax again then! I did lay the sealant down before the wax so thats a plus for me! It just cleans so well with the hot water! Blasts the crap off so much better with hot water!
  14. Someone mentioned to me the glass is the only thing not made in America on the Leupolds... But thats why I bought my Leupold... Its an awesome scope and 99% USA made.
  15. Heard it! They say it increases mileage.... I only disagree because I have punched it a few times just to hear the noise it makes Looks WAY cleaner and sounds WAY better! Worth the $108 shipped from Amazon!
