  1. So it's like 1,5 year later and i still love using the Adams products. They're not so popular around here. not so many people know about it ( i would like to keep it that way, my car always shines the best haha! ) and it's difficult to get them, except @ only 1 webshop or so. I have some pics that I like to share with you guys. Tell me what you think! and also my ex-california 450SL '74
  2. Here some more photo's of the car. Last week sunday there was a big VAG midwinter meeting organised by Team VW-Speed, so spend the whole evening before the meeting to 'adamize' the car. Rolling shot, driving in the snow I know it needs a little bit extra lowering.. During the dB test of my Gladen SQX 12 sub in ported enclosure, driven by a Orion 8002 Result Great meeting, with a LOT of diehards there. Like 500 cars have shown up, during the cold weather and snow.
  3. Thanks Bruce! People will always like things they don't have, am I right? I've built in Daytime Running Lights on my '01 6 speed VW Lupo GTI. Not the crappy Led thing, no the real deal, with the orange blinkers.. Unfortunately the cops don't like it here, gotta turn them off very quick when I see them..
  4. Can you imagine that this is done in just only 1 winter, in a garage without car bridge and no heating and isolation? Bought a few infrared heaters to keep it 'do-able'. Thanks, just like you guy's here on the forum, much better then the Dutch detailing forum. Some of them are haters because i use adams, only one finger for them hehe
  5. About 10 years ago there were enough of them here in holland, but in the EU spec though.. Nowadays i don't see them anymore, they're getting old i guess.. But it's a good investment to restore them. in this shape they go for around 35.000 euro here in holland, were the less nice one's go for 10/15k euro's...
  6. Thanks!! a 240D is also a very nice car. yes, maybe slow, but that has it charmes i guess! Can't call the 450SL slow, but too bad that the car only has a 3-speed automatic, good for the loads of torque it has, but not for flooring it ( but i think this is not where this car was made for ). My GTI will kick it's *** 3 times, but for driving quality I would choose the SL.
  7. Thanks, so much more that i would like to tell about it, but the precise things are a bit hard for me to explain in english, very strange if i have to talk about it in real it woudn't be a problem, it's just that you have to think so much when you have to type it in another language when you compare it to talking !
  8. Already checked in here, but i couldn't resist to show you guys my other ride.. a Mercedes 450 SL from 1974, USA spec from California! My dad bought it back in 1999, 2 years ago we decided to restaurate is together, completely stripped it down and got it resprayed from bare metal.. Also we have made the wooden interior parts ourselves, like this: The seats with a fresh coat of leather Also we have let the dashboard get 'leathered' ( sorry for my bad english ) End result: And the complete picture, needs some Adam's ATM, but she's in the garage and she won't come out before the spring..
  9. Yes i have driven it at the track once.. but it was only after a month since i got the car. Bet it would be much more fun now, better tyres, better suspention, better brakes. And ofcourse the most important, i know much better what the exact drivability is of the car after 3 years.. I guess that now i can push it more to the limit in comparison with the beginning.. I will upload an acceleration sound movie within a short time!
  10. Got myself some new stuff, Adam's car wash shampoo 16oz Adam's detail spray 16 oz ( both the best on the market for me ) Adam's Merino wool washmitt
  11. I think we do have nice women, but the beer, nahh i'm not a beer guy so can't help you out with that.. This little car weights 910 kilograms and puts out 162 hp right now. It's a 1.6 16v twincam engine without turbo. 6 speed transmission, Xenon with high pressure washers, limited slip diff. ESP, aircon, 6 airbags, alarm system and heated seats.. Runs about 235 km/h and 0-100 ( 0-62 in mph ) in under 7 sec.. Pretty happy with the car i must say! And Adams makes me soo much more happy to see the car shining in my eyes!
  12. Haven't been here for a while, but i'm back now and maybe i can give you guys a bit of a cold, dutch feeling with a few pics of my Lupo in the current weather! It's about 22F here during the day and 15/16F during the night.. Also got myself a new set of wheels for the summer tyre's. 17'' BBS from a Mini cooper S ( did let them get customized, hub hole was a little too small so got it professionally resized. )
