  1. I knew they were painted but, they have like a semi flat finish. I wasn’t sure if I would ruin it by polishing. Shane was right and a quick pass with the Bigfoot did the trick. Thanks for the help guys!
  2. Good morning all, I just traded my Focus RS for a new Raptor. It’s a beautiful spring Sunday morning and I am starting to Adamize it. I bought a ceramic kit a couple of weeks ago while waiting for it to be delivered. I did correcting and polishing on my previous two cars and have had good success with it. My question is. Does anyone know if you can machine correct/polish the fender flares or should they be treated like trim? Thanks in advance! Chris
  3. I tried both ways one panel and the whole side of the car. Both results were about the same, streaky and laborious to get off. I suspect you guys are right, I probably over worked it. The Rupes 21 really has a huge movement. It works great for big panels. The bumpers and the rear spoiler are the only places where I couldn't hit everything. I took like six hours this time. If I am truly over working the polish, I could probably reduce the process by quite a bit. I'm looking at getting a pickup truck next year, and it sure will be nice to have the ginormous pad then. I'll see if I can get a picture, they are worth a thousand words. The bar still worked good. Just odd, really.
  4. I debated all day on Black Friday if I should get the Rupes 21 kit that was on sale. I bit the bullet. I could wait for Christmas so, I went at the Mustang. I'm lucky I worked at the airport for awhile and they still let me use the heated hangar to wash my car. Otherwise, this probably wouldn't have happened till spring. The Rupes 21 was too big for some parts but, that thing sure does move. I learned some for the next time. I used way too much polish I think. It was really hard to get the polish off, especially the finish polish. One question. My big blue clay bar had chunks in it. The chucks did not stretch easy and didn't flatten when messaged. I actually had one big chunk I pulled out because it was like a marble sized piece and it was sort of getting in the way. Is that normal? -2 bucket wash, old style wash soap. I need some of that new blue stuff and a foam gun bad. -big blue clay bar -paint correcting polish, twice over in some bird bomb spots that needed extra love. -paint finishing polish -paint sealant with grey pad on the Rupes -VRT on the tires and black plastics No before pics, I forgot to take them. It was pretty embarrassing, I haven't had time in awhile.
  5. I was thinking that's what my issue was. I only have one dry towel, so I'll get another one or two. No egott, I don't have a single soft to buff off with. I also thought that it may help but wasn't sure. I'll have to make an order in a week or two. Another question, may be a little specific to the car though. The dealer double-sided taped the window louvers on. So water spots the quarter window underneath. Anyone have a trick for cleaning the window without removing the louvers?
  6. Well, I finally got to try my basic collection of Adam's products on my new mustang gt I picked up yesterday. I learned a lot from one wash. And have some questions. Things I learned, 1. I suck at this. 2. I need wheel and fender goodies. 3. I need a couple more drying towels. 4. Adam's products smell great! Questions, How do I get it to be completely streak and spot free when drying? I misted with detail spray and was unable to get all the streaking off. I feel like maybe I need another single or double soft to do a final wipe with. But maybe I'm wrong, is waterless the answer? Like I said, my collection is very basic. I gotta save a few bucks up and buy more. Sorry for the crappy Droid pics, I don't have another camera at the moment.
