  1. I just Glazed the Vette for a show, it's 1 1/2hrs away. Question is when I get there the car will need to be cleaned, either Waterless Wash or Detail Spray. Will either one remove the Glaze? If so I probably did it for nothing.I know that Glaze doesn't last long but I'm not sure if those products will remove it?
  2. I was planning on purchasing Ragg Topp for my Corvette fabric convertible. Do I really need the kit, cleaner & protectant or can I just purchase the Protectant and use Adams APC? I wish Adams had a top protectant.
  3. I purchased DWC during the New Years sale, I haven't used it yet. Will this REMOVE any protectant , such as Machine Super Sealant or wax that's presently on them? I also used Adams Detail Spray for the first time, WOW ! Much better than the Meguiars I bought at Carlisle a few years ago (and I still have 1/2 of a gallon left).
  4. What are you guys using to clean and protect your convertible top? I just purchased an 07 Vette with tan convertible top. I've seen Rag Top, is there anything else out there? How about it Adam, when are you going to make something?
  5. I tried it this weekend on my triple black Vette, that I had just Glazed. WOW ! Evertime I try a new Adams Product I'm shocked. I didn't think it could look ant better than Brilliant Glaze, but it does.
  6. Great tip, I'll try it this fall. Thank you.
  7. Last week at Corvettes at Carlisle I picked up a bottle of Leather Conditioner, tried it today for the first time, I am impressed. Keep in mind I have a 1990 triple black Vette with original seats, they are old and dry but no rips or cracks. I've tried other brands of leather products in the past, but nothing made them look as good as Adams ! They really pop with the conditioner on them, I can only hope that with continuous use they soften up a bit, but if not I understand they are 25 yrs old. I had the pleasure of meeting Adam at Carlisle, he is a true gentleman and very humble.
  8. Let's say I have a show tomorrow so I Glaze my triple black Corvette today. I drive to the show, and anyone with a black car knows what I mean, and the car gets dusty. If I wipe it down with Detail Spray am I removing the Brilliant Glaze? I know that it's only temporary, so I didn't know if Detail Spray wipes it off?You can't move a black car 2ft without it getting dusty! Thanks in advance for all responses. By the way I just tried the Leather Conditioner today that I picked up in Carlisle, just like all Adams Products, GREAT! It was great to meet Adam also, he is truly a humble person.
  9. I love Buttery Wax, it's the easiest wax I have ever used, even in direct sunlight. But I disagree with alot of people on the longevity of it. I waxed my daily driver, a 2008 Silverado ( cocoa brown) in the spring and it still looks great and beads up like crazy. The only area that I redid was the hood a couple of weeks ago, and that was only because I had some sap on it and when I removed the sap I rewaxed it. Buttery Wax in my opinion is more than a temporary monthly wax.
  10. Thanks Ed, I didn't think that I was the only one. Dave you've got to remember that when I detail my vehicles it's usually at least a 3 step system. I used swirl remover then polish and then sealant, and I still must wax it. I've read where they have outdoor power tools that they say can run for 3 hours constantly and you could have a backup battery charging in the mean time. Just a thought. (Hey Ed, GO IRONPIGS !)
  11. Yesterday I was detailing my Silverado, extended cab, 8' bed, 22' long with my Porter Cable. I was constantly rolling over the cord with my seat on wheels, constantly getting the cord stuck around the tires, numerous times having it become unplugged from the extension cord from pulling on the cord as I moved around the truck.Am I the ONLY person with this problem? Unless I constantly moved the extension cord from 1 side of the garage to the other, why doesn't someone invent a CORDLESS D/A? They have cordless drills, saws outdoor power equipment, I can't believe that no one has come up with one yet ! Is there one out there that I'm not aware of?
  12. No, I didn't , I'm old school, will have to have my kids show me. But I can tell you it looks like a BLACK MIRROR !
  13. We finally had a nice day up here in Mass. lower 50's. I decided to wash the Silverado & wife's Envoy. I proceeded to wax the Silverado with Buttery wax, that is the easiest wax I have ever used. Less than 1 hr to fully wax an extended cab with an 8' bed in the sun. Then I went into the garage, uncovered my black Vette, detail sprayed it, and proceeded to try my sample of Brilliant Glaze that was sent in my last order.OMG! I didn't think it was possible for my Vette to shine anymore. After all it has been fully Adamized, swirl remover, polish, sealant & Buttery. I don't know why I am surprised, after all every Adams Product that I have used has never let me down. Thanks Adams.
  14. Well today it is suppose to get up to 47* ! I can't wait to get the Adams out of the basement and into the driveway to wash & semi-detail the Silverado and my wife's Envoy. If time allows maybe take the Vette out of the garage, there's still to much salt on the roads to take her out for a ride. Better enjoy today because they are already talking about another storm latter in the week. Winter up North SUCK !
  15. No, I bought the 4" pad KIT from Adams, it comes with the backing pad. Don't forget to use the coupon code "VETTE" for a 10% discount.
