Yeah got a bit crazy there. Your right about #1 Our SAS troops (Special Forces) are with you guys in Afghanistan. The 20 hour flight is a killer. It's only a 5 hour flight to Antarctica (Southpole) on a US Air Force C17 Globemaster from NZ Rick

Boosted
Yea, 20 hours... wow... I'm having a hard time with that one! How far are you from LA ? got this off the web Los Angeles, CA (LAX) to Auckland (AKL) Flight Duration 12 hours 40 mins Distance: The distance between Los Angeles and Auckland is 6508 miles (10474 km). Remember your winter is our summer. In winter we get the southerlies from the southpole. We get large chucks of icebergs floating up our south island coastline. http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/massive-iceberg-lining-up-new-zealand-3138557 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fhcFGfyYS8 Other extreme is Auckland in summer, up to 30'C (86'F) with 100% humidity - feels like 40'C (104'F) 20'C (68'F) at night with 100% humidity. You know a true Kiwi by the shorts and t-shirts we wear in winter Rick
Boosted
Last one I promise. I bet the opposition wished they had pads on Couple of vids of Jonah Lomu, one of our greatest rugby players. Standing 1.96m (about 6ft 5in) and weighing up to 120kgs (between 18 and 19 stones), Lomu in top physical condition could run 100 metres in around 11s. and the best one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvR8CsGcwyQ&feature=related

It's called a piupiu, I wouldn't be caught dead walking around Auckland in one http://www.teara.govt.nz/en/flax-and-flax-working/2/2/3 When there is no wind, the humidity rises and rises. We had 4 days in a row last summer with no wind and 100% humidity. I'm sure Alan felt it at the last Kemeu car show.

Just showing what we have to put up with. Imagine working 30 floors up in summer looking out at the harbour and seeing this - and it's only Monday No don't parasail, wouldn't mind if I get the chance. I'm mad on fishing. When the blue (warmer) water nears our shores I'm off to the Great Barrier Island (2hours by ferry) for Yellow fin tuna and Marlin. Check this guy out http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10554064 - how mad are we kiwi's.
Boosted
nice car! Cheers. It's considered a large car down here. Might be medium size where you are. Comes with an inline 4liter straight six, with or without a turbo and a V8. We stole the new Mustang 5liter V8 and whacked on a supercharger You can get extreme power increases for not much money with the turbo's. Check this one out Looks like Aussie may supply the next Mustang platform, will share with our Falcon. You guys will be in for a surprise. http://www.autoblog.com/2010/10/05/report-rwd-ford-falcon-could-merge-platforms-with-mustang-not/ http://www.stangtv.com/news/mustang-falcon-could-share-platform-four-door-mustang-possible/

Boosted
Teresa bought me one to cut the grass in. All you need now is the Taiaha (The Maori considered the Taiaha a special sacred weapon. It is styled like a spear and is double ended. This means that the top part, which is like a spear top, was using in a stabbing motion. The bottom is more like a club or blade and was used for hitting or cutting. In the hands of a master, this was a considerable weapon which could offer serious damage.) Now how is this for extreme fishing. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/29653634

GXPaycheck
Cheers. How do you like the Holden - I mean Pontiac I was a Holden fan (7 Commodores (same as G8) until recently. had 21 faults over 11months with the new shape (same as yours) There is a problem with the pre Oct '07 models, they call them submarines. Robot missed a weld under the drivers side dash area. They had to pull out the seats and carpet to dry. Also had no end of electrical problems. My mate has one and he has never had any problems.Do you know about Bathurst? Holden kicked .... - not happy. Here is a video of one fast Holden Rick Love the Holden/G8. Best car GM has had over here in30 years. Glad I didn't get the sub though! That GTS is sweet!

Nice on yogurt for breakfast - mmm. I'm not mad like those guys. I prefer fishing from a boat or land based. This is what you call a fishing boat. 3x 300hp The weather can change suddenly and this boat gets you back home safely, very quickly.
