Team Adam's
I'm fairly certain we can assume everyone here considers cars and detailing one of their biggest hobbies, but what else do you guys/girls enjoy. Obviously, for me photography and playing with photoshop are big ones. Its fun to shoot pictures and mess with them, doesn't really matter the subject matter, its a good way to clear my head. More recently I've become OBSESSED with my lawn. I'm almost as bad about ensuring my yard is lush and weed free as I am about keeping my paint swirl free. My wife even gave me a hard time this weekend about spending about 6 hours feeding/watering/weeding. So what are your other diversions? Things you do for fun when you're not buffing your car or going to car shows?
THE Mook
My biggest passion aside from detailing, or should I say the one other place in the world where I feel "Zen"-ish....is cooking. I think I am a pretty fine chef if I don't say so myself! I also enjoy yardwork like Dylan, just not as much as him LOL. I like to play on the 360 if I ever get super free time, and recently purchased a hybrid bicycle so I can ride around my hood! Took a decent ride on Sat PM, further and faster than I thought. I reallllllllly enjoyed it! I watch a LOT of TV also... Mook
Captain Slow
I likes me some fishin' !! My fishing gear consists of over 3 dozen rods, 3 dozen reels, 3 gigantic tackle boxes and enough gear to stock a typical Wal Mart sporting goods department. I've got fly, spinning, bait casting and ice fishing equipment, heck I've even got a couple of cane poles. If my wallet was better stocked my shooting hobby would probably be the same. Finally, I am the Master when it comes to gardening and roses are a passion of mine. My absolute favorite is Peace: African Violets however are nemesis of mine, they commit ritual suicide at my mere presence. WildBillsBlueC6
There are times when I know that I have to many hobbies and some of them have conflicts for time. I spend a lot of the summer sailing along the Mass, Rhode Island coast with this boat. It where I started using buffers many years ago. I also spend lots of time doing photography. I like to take action shots, but also spend hours playing with light trying to find ways to create images that are different. I have a studio set up at home and will play in it half the night. I also spend hours working with photoshop to create images as well. You can see some of the wide range of thing that I have shot on my flicker account. http://www.flickr.com/photos/billnphoto/ This is a picture that was created playing with light, and has not had any post processing. This is how it came out of the camera.
ouarkie
That is a nice looking boat. How big is she? I have been on ski boats, houseboats, bass boats, and cruise ships but never a sail boat. I think that would have to be nice and quiet on the water. But I can't imagine being on the open water on a boat like that. We had 10 foot waves and strong winds a few years ago on the Gulf of Mexico on a cruise ship and the movement on that was bad enough. Can't imagine how rough it would be on a sail boat. Slava
Cars and detailing is at the top of the list but very close second for me is hockey. I played ice and roller for a while but now I mainly play roller. Other hobbies are Music, cooking and 360.
WildBillsBlueC6
The boat is 30 feet long. I have been about 10 miles off shore with it. When the water is deeper there is most space between the waves so its usually a smooth roll up and down. It can be very relaxing to be sailing on a nice day and all you hear are the waves hitting the side of the boat. Not having to us a motor makes a huge difference. ouarkie
It looks like a lot of fun. I am sure it would be quieter than on a cruise ship. on it you are going about 15 to 20 knots depending on where you are going. Then have the engines running and wind noise. Enjoy the summer, and be safe.
Osok
My other biggest hobbies/obsessions are gaming, golfing, and cooking. Love all three of them dearly and can't ever get enough of them.
Guest Jay.B
My other hobbies would include snow skiing and 4-wheeling. I love to go out in the mountains and just ride around. It's peaceful and there is usally no one around to bother you unless you are on the public/pay trails. As far as skiing, that's anopther peaceful feeling to me is being on top of the slopes at night when it's snowing and the world seems to be beneath you. I just don't get to go as much anymore as I would like.
Kustom_FX
I love me some Photoshop, not only to tweak and change photos, but I use it for 1 off graphics creations as well. I'm not very good at taking pictures but I am learning. I love to spend time with my wife in kitchen, and Im teaching her how to use the grill. In general I just like to tinker in my garage.. Over the weekend I made new towel holders and now I'm working on some wash pad drying racks. PS3 is a good time killer as well as a few TV shows,

1anonly
I have a lot of interests. In the summer I play softball two nights a week. The weekends I try to get out and golf. I also used to play volleyball twice a week, but I'm finding out my knees and ankles are shot after years of playing basketball. In winter I turn into Norm Abrams. I love building/fixing things. Two of my favorites projects were making a poker table and a 7 foot long craps table. Which brings me to another passion, casino dice collecting. I have around 1500 different pairs of casino dice from all over the world. Some of them are worth some pretty big bucks.

Nordgrey
There are other hobbies/obsessions? I guess so, since I looked next to my Adam's stockpile and saw my mound of paintball gear! I love the comradarie of the game. Dad's out spending a Sunday with their kids. The kids trying to shoot dad.....LOL At present I have eight guns, ranging from high end electronic guns to 15 year old pump guns. I love playing all styles and lucked out to hook up with an incredible bunch of guys who feel the same way. The team mottos say it all, "Woodsball or Speedball - It's all Paintball to the Tippinators" "Shake hands, play hard, have fun, make new friends, remember that it is just a game" I couldn't be prouder of my paintball brothers. I had a heart attack during dry land training with the team a few years back. They could have made all the proper noises and in the end left me high and dry. But that isn't how these guys roll. With competitive play out of the question, they allowed me to find my own new niche with the team. Playing recreational ball on weekends, helping to run big games, charity games, working the pits during tournament play, reffing the woodsball league we run. As much or as little as I want to add. There is a reason that the world's largest paintball gun manufacturer, Tippmann Sports out of Fort Wayne Indiana has made the Tippinators their Canadian Factory Team. It's not the level of play, which is probably semi-pro, but the incredible attitude of these 22 guys. http://tippinators.com/index.php/home Four of my collection, from top clockwise. Heavily milsimed Tippmann A5, Palmers 2KS Blazer (my baby), Tiberius Arms Tac 8 and Tippmann SL-68-II pump gun. All four made in the USA! StormChaser
I like digital photography - still learning how to use my Nikon. Ugh. LOL I love to go biking, hiking, camping and road trips. Anything out doors is MUCH MORE FUN when it's cooler than 75 degrees. Since moving to VA....that doesn't happen much in the summer. HAHAHA. I used to go pick fresh fruit (in Alaska) and make jelly each season. If I could afford it ...I would own my own snow mobile & go each year! I had access to anything I wanted in AK for free....so now I can only wish! HAHAHA
Stryker
Cars of course are number 1 Don't know if it's a hobby But I'm a bit of a gym rat and I follow the sport of bodybuilding pretty closely. DieselDude
I have several hobbies (in my line of work you need something to relief stress). During the summer months I enjoy working in the yard, garden, and farm work. During the winter months I will read and work in my workshop, also like to fix things. I enjoy photography (going to upgrade my camera soon). Also, I enjoy play board games, cards, and watching movies. Most important I enjoy spending time with my family.
