On a side note, the video mentions no power for the metrovac. I haven't done much research but maybe a battery operated version could prove helpful in these situations (if they exist).

 

You could always just turn on the car so that 1 it is warm when you get in and 2 you can plug in a power inverter and use the car to power the side kick.

This is how I have been washing my car now for the past three weekends, except I have been drying with H2O GnG. I really like how you used a car that was actually dirty in this demonstration video.

Holy dead thread revival batman! You're using H2O at every wash? That stuff should be good for 6-8 weeks.

yup, he did, as he says in the first vid, winter isnt about keeping her pristine its about getting it clean and keeping it protected. Worry about the minor stuff in the spring with your full detail. 

 

That at least for a DD not a garage queen.

lol not quite, the old one has less ribs sewn into it than the new one has....sad that I notice these things.

Yep - with that amount of power washing and prep before actually touching the vehicle, its all you need.  More efficient and time saver as well

I tried to do this yesterday but some old man behind me ended up complaining.    I took the high road and went home to try the Rinseless Wash for the first time.

This is actually how I normally have to wash my car. Sometimes I'll admit I just use the water to get most of the particles off instead of the 2 buckets though. Living in apartment complexes is not fun
