A Patriotic Cyber Grey ZR1

Holder

Recommended Posts

Wow, what a weekend. Lot's of great cars I was lucky enough to work on. What made it even better was knowing that this ZR1 was coming up. It's a 2010 with about 6500 miles on it. It has driven down, ran the Texas Mile where it went 183 MPH and drove back. Also has been on a few road trips. I was expecting way worse than what I found when i showed up to detail this car. I couldn't find a single rock hip or a swirl. It has only been waxed once, but i think most of the wax ended up on the edges of the clear bras and all the plastics. The owner wanted it prepped for a show that was coming up.

The owner didn't ask for it but I figured since it was Memorial Day I would bring the Patriot Wax out. I gave this beast a coat of Brilliant Glaze and 2 coats Patriot Wax.

Enjoy!

Any tips for cars that have tons of body lines like the ZR1 has? What machines/pads did you use for it?

For the large surfaces I used the Flex and normally I would use the PC with 4" Focus Pad for all the small areas but I had to try out my new Cyclo. It worked great for the carbon fiber splitter up front and around the scoops and what not.

GREAT job andrew!  did you ask for a test drive? lol

He had somewhere to be. Plus i dont think he wanted to get it dirty. I'll be back for the others and I wont leave without a ride in one of them.

Thic car was beautifull to begin with. After claying and a polish and that glorious Patriot Wax it just took it to the next level. After I left the owner sent me a message saying, "I can't believe it, this thing just pops". I have a feeling he was hanging out in his garage for awhile after I left.

This was one of those cars no matter how much time I put into it the entire process was blast.

The Cyclo is a nice machine and very smooth and balanced.  Made in the USA and built to last!

I do not own one, but have had the pleasure of using one a couple years ago :)

The "Jake" wash bucket was appropriate for this one. :pc7424:

Is it the LS9 that has a plate on it that says the name of the builder?

Yep, the name plate goes on the side of the supercharger.
