mtnbiker326
Hello Everyone, I found these photos in my backup collection from a few weeks ago that I never got around to posting. RedAztec (Pete) and I were detailing our vehicles (his mustang and my jeep) on a Saturday afternoon. After we had finished up, a buddy from down the street came up and inquired as to whether either of us knew of anyone who could do a decent to good polish job on his restored engine bay before his new motor and accessories were bolted in. We looked at each other and smiled. We informed him that we were those of which he had been seeking. We took our tubs of products and cyclo and flex over to his garage and started working on his engine bay. I have to say that the usefulness of the cyclo in the tight corners and contours of this specific engine bay was great. The flex tackled the firewall in the latter pictures. The neighbor was SO impressed that he actually wanted us to let him know when we were putting in another order so he could get some himself to try and work with. Needless to say, his paint job (real spray guns and technique) in his garage was actually not too shabby. Even his clear coat layering was done well. Once the polishes were introduced and correction was done (a little orange peel and uneven layers), the final fully face-meltered surface was gorgeous. WELL DONE ADAM'S POLISHES! Here are the beginning shots with Pete checking the polish with his pocket Fenix flashlight. Here is the contrast between the firewall (not completed and interior walls (completed) Here is the firewall half done (once before second wetsanding). Here is the finished fully face-meltered firewall. Even Pete and I were impressed with how great it turned out. mtnbiker326
Thanks guys. Has anyone had any experience with using the Flex with 4" pads? Do you think if I had those 4" pads, could the flex have done the interior contours of the left portion of the engine bay that Pete was working on with the Cyclo?
