Leather Conditioner

PHILLIE PHANATIC

Question

Last week at Corvettes at Carlisle I picked up a bottle of Leather Conditioner, tried it today for the first time, I am impressed. Keep in mind I have a 1990 triple black Vette with original seats, they are old and dry but no rips or cracks. I've tried other brands of leather products in the past, but nothing made them look as good as Adams ! They really pop with the conditioner on them, I can only hope that with continuous use they soften up a bit, but if not I understand they are 25 yrs old. I had the pleasure of meeting Adam at Carlisle, he is a true gentleman and very humble.

I used nothing but Adam's on my 02 Z Vette and those seats looked brand new when I sold her two years ago.

Here's some advice.  If you're in an area where you store your car for the winter, I always applied leather conditioner by HAND right before I stored the car.  Squirt some onto your palm and fingers and rub it in real good, don't use a rag.  Just rub and let it go.  It will keep your seats nice and moisturized all winter and they'll still be soft in the spring.  Then when you uncover your car, take a micro and wipe them down. You'll be surprised how nice they are.

Great tip, I'll try it this fall. Thank you.

Does this product contain any silicones?  I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a place online where it is listed what the contents of the various products are.  I use it and love it but I have recently read about how bad leather conditioner products containing silicone are for the leather seats in these new cars.

Thanks for a great product and any information.

You mean an MSDS?  Email Adam or the team for one, they have them.
