Willl Quick Sealant protect trim from wax staining?

TheWolf

Question

Will an application of QS to textured plastic trim protect it from getting stained with wax residue?

In the past, I have used SVRT on the trim before waxing to make it easier to clean up places where wax accidently gets on the trim, but I think it would be faster to apply QS to the trim before waxing.

What I do is apply the Quick Sealant to the plastic trim first. I also apply it to the painted surfaces around the trim. Then when I apply the wax I already know the painted surfaces around the plastic are protected and stay away from the trim.

Yep, QS is perfectly fine as a trim treatment.

QS creates a "shell" of protection, for lack of a better term, whereas SVRT will actually soak into the trim and give it a bit of moisture.

They essentially serve the same function, protecting the trim, but they do it in a slightly different way.
