The elephant in the room...

What is funny is that he was trying to get a tag for the first 100 members to their forum.  After he left they designed it and are putting it out.  I am betting only about 25 of the first 100 members are still over there. :)

Probably not even that many. I got mine deleted though!  :2thumbs:

Just add a few ounces of Adam's APC to your wash :)

I wanted to try it because the scg strip wash is on the basic side. I believe adams APC is on the acidic side.

That's what I always thought because I think Dylan mentioned it in a post once, but the MSDS Adam posted not too long ago had the pH listed as 12.8.

I think the big thing with the strip wash is that it was much more gentle on plastic and rubber trim. Which if you use APC in your soap as a strip wash its not a big deal because usually when you're doing that you'll be dressing the trim anyway. Just depends on preference.

interesting

Here is a link to where Adam posted the MSDS: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/26951-material-safety-data-sheets/?p=426793

And where Dylan claimed it was mildly acidic: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/22515-adams-apc-all-purpose-cleaner-review/?p=358183

However, my guess is the MSDS is the correct answer.

And because it contains Sodium Silicate, I'm going to guess it's alkaline because putting Sodium Silicate in acid would cause it to crystallize.

I just thought I heard that Dylan or one of the Adam's team members mentioned it was a citrus based cleaner which obviously would make it acidic.  So i guess its alkaline, good to know.

SCG is a bunch of jacktard fools, DvK is a damn hard worker.

I'll go out on a limb and say that maybe he should have stuck with AF for a while after all, seemed like he and Adam parted on good terms.

After the restructuring and new hires, etc at Adam's lately I'll go out on a limb but I don't know if Adam's could afford to rehire him even if he showed interest.

Maybe DvK will make a guest appearance on Raw Detail TV with Garry Dean and give us all the inside scoop on those a-holes at SCG.  Good thing I never spent money with them.

Correct.

Apparently, I have been detailing under a rock. This is news to me...and apparently he left long ago (read the forum post here about it...looks like it was around feb).

I sometimes rewatch videos and seeing him in them...well, I guess I just never thought he was gone!

Dylan is a good guy. He is actually the reason I started using Adam's. He moved in around the corner from me and his Silver truck alwasy looked so clean, even when the weather was bad. I had him set me up with stuff for my raptor and haven't touched a walmart product since!

I followed him over and tried a lot of the SCG stuff he worked on, it was great product and Im definitely going to use up what I have. But after talking to him and seeing how this all went down I won't buy from them again. He is a standup guy and even though he wont get into specifics of what happend its pretty clear they didn't take care of him the way he needed.

If he comes back here that would be great for me bc then I can keep getting samples of product out of his garage. LOL Just picked up a couple of bottles of stuff from his supply that he didn't want to keep. I told him about this topic on the forums and he said to tell everyone hello. Pretty sure he won't be back here, but whereever he ends up I'm sure he'll keep doing good stuff.

When I heard that Dylan was dismissed from SCG, I called him immediately, and invited him to lunch.  We immediately offered to bring him back, as he was a pivotal part of the growth that we experienced while he was on our team.  Let's face it, Dylan rocks, and we would love to have him back!

He is looking at several options currently, and will be making a decision that is best for his family, and bank account! SEMA is next week, and he has multiple offers and meetings.

We did part ways on good terms, and would love to have Dylan on our team again.......

Go Dylan, and no matter what, we support him and his family!
