O.K. - spent the ENTIRE weekend polishing the Ceramic Stratch Resistant Clear Coat on the Wifey's ML63 and on my SL65. I ended up using 3M SRC Scratch Resistant Clear Finesse-It Finishing Polish with my FLEX polisher. It works as anything from a mild compound to a fine finishing polish depending on the pad you use, the speed of the polisher, and how long you 'work' the polish. Black is a labor of love - ESPECIALLY the SRC. Even using a FLEX, you gotta' work each panel over and over with a fluorescent 'heartbreaker' work light. OF COURSE - I topped both cars with NEW Adams Paint Sealant.
The 'texture' you see in the solid black photo is a reflection of the textured drywall on the ceiling of my garage. Also got a close up of the metallic silver on the SL.
