Here you go... straight from Dylan

I have used the new version extensively and its easiest to think of it as TID on steroids. More cleaning power for sure, its capable of removing more serious grime than the current version, but still not as strong as something like Leather Cleaner.

It maintains that matte look, but the best way to describe the finish is darker. There is a very noticable difference on treated vs. untreated areas, but it still looks very factory matte with no gloss.

The color is the same but the scent is different, the new scent I can't quite place, but it smells very clean and neutral. It disipates quick too which is what I'd consider ideal for an interior product.

I'm told it features much more substantial UV protection and conditioning properties and thats the stage of the testing that continues. I'm quite impressed with the new product as I'm sure you will be too. Its a nice upgrade over the current juice, but certainly not a total rewrite of the formula.

Can anyone give me some info if the total interior Detailer is being reformulated and if so the details on the reformulated product and when we can see a release date. Thanks fellow shine freaks.  :patriot:

Were you experiencing issues with the old formula?? I was looking to pick up some interior detailer for the first time but was wondering if I should wait out for the revised formula?

Well I just placed an order and got a bottle of the current TID to try for the first time, at $8 for a bottle its worth seeing what its like, and if I like it, its much easier and cheaper than refilling the 1Z Cockpit I have been using for 5 years or so.

I'll post up some impressions after its use, as always, the wife's car gets to be the guinea pig LOL

I got my bottle of Interior Detailer this week.  It smells like baby powder...which if I read correctly is the new version.  It leaves a great matte "sheen" on plastic and definitely darkens things up.  I am having a small issue though...it's a 2015 Chevy Tahoe with the black interior...On the door panels I'm getting pretty decent streaking...much darker on some places than others...any thoughts? On the dash it went down perfect and the center console and plastic around the base of the seats it went down perfect as well.  Thanks.

There has actually only been one version of TID so far and it does have the baby powder scent. The updated version is still in the testing phases.

Are you spraying directly onto the panels? It's possible that is maybe causing your streaking. I always spray the TID onto a gray or black microfiber utility towel and then put the towel to the panels. Then I will flip the towel over on the dry side to do a second wipe down.

Edit: A second thought, did you have any other product on the door panels prior to using the TID, or maybe they were dirtier than the other sections of the interior? You could try wiping them down first with some carpet & upholstery cleaner or a diluted APC mixture to break down any other product or dirt/sweat/grease that could be contributing to the streaking, then finish off with the TID. If that still doesn't work, I've had great success with using Leather Conditioner on door plastics and buffing down the shine with a gray utility towel.

As the others mentioned, that would be the current version. We haven't approved the new version for release and it hasn't been bottled, labeled, or shipped to any customers yet other than a select few we asked to test it.

Could very easily be another dressing not playing well with it... anything that contains silicone will cause the TID cleaner to gel and streak a little, so move forward with the diluted APC or a little 1:1 LIC to get back down to a clean base, then try TID again. Let us know how it goes.
