Proper Temps

ray14sher

Question

I am buying a 2006 Mustang for a daily driver and it will need the full paint correction, polish, wax etc. I have an unheated garage and the temps around here are in the lower to mid 40's .  Is this ok or do I need to wait until spring when it gets warmer?  What's the minimal temp that you can work  with the products?

I can barely keep my garage above 35 here in the winter, even with a space heater, and while some products are a little more difficult to work with its still very much doable. At 40* you should be just fine, just allow extra cure time for products that need it (glaze, wax, or sealant) as the lower temp will slow the curing process slightly.
