Been gone a while

Question

Hey guys, I've been gone quite a while and really don't do much detailing anymore. I would like to sell my Porter-Cable 7424 polishers. They are the original versions not the XP. I didn't use them very hard. I bought one used and the other I bought new, Neither one has that many hours on them. They both have the velcro pad on them. The newer one also has the add-on extra handle. Probably have a couple well-used pads for one or the other.

I'm thinking these are probably worth around $75 each plus shipping.  Am I in the right ballpark?

Not sure I'd compare HF tools to Porter-Cable. There is a huge difference in quality there. This coming from a woodworking teacher/cabinetmaker who has a shop full of tools (mostly PC). I have bought and used HF power tools and they are NOT the same quality.

Maybe $50-$60... While there isn't anything inherently wrong with the 7424 machine and the quality is good, when the the XP version which is more powerful and features a more ergonomic design is available at $110 it really limits you. The point made above about the HF is valid - of course as an HF tool its not going to have the same quality, but you can get one NEW for $40-$50. While it might not last as long it does have more 'oomph' - and if we're being honest with ourselves - if you're shopping tools below $80 in price your primary concern isn't usually going to be longevity.

Worst case, post it up for $80 obo and see what kind of money people will throw at you.
