deejay
This wax gives my car a very nice wet and shiny look. The only down side of this wax is it dust like no other wax I've used. Anyone else experience this too?
Chris@Adams
Do you think that you may have applied too heavy of a coat? Less is more......
Team Adam's
Haven't personally experienced any dusting deejay - sorry it's giving you problems. Like Chris suggested, maybe try using less. A thin coat should have minimal residues to remove and thus almost no dusting. Keep us posted bc we want to make sure you're having the best experience possible with the products. Ricky Bobby
I recall the old Mike Phillips line "Thin is In" in regards to applying LSP's. The thinner coat you apply the better, I'm also in agreement I have not seen Americana do any dusting. Did you apply it in the sun or on a hot finish? That could contribute as well. deejay
this isn't my first time waxing a car fella's and that's what I got from this wax. I washed my car the day before and left my car in the garage over night and waxed it the morning. I did panel to panel but the first panel i left the wax on for about 5 minutes and then buffed it off and there was a lot of dust so I decided to buff it off as soon as i got done with the panel and there was still alot of dust but not as much as when leaving it on for 5 minutes. like i said great results but a lot of dust. JHL88
I know you said you waxed it in the morning but was the panels warm? That could cause it but like others have mentioned I've never experienced dusting with this wax as well
Ricky Bobby
I've never experienced an excess dusting with paste waxes, not my first rodeo either. Usually Americana is hard to buff off if left too long. I apply to 2 panels and immediately buff off. Applied very thin
HFX Detailing
The only dusting I notice is in the applicator if not cleaned thoroughly enough. While using Americana, it is fine. Is the dust from the pad?

I have experienced this too. Just cleaned my Americana applicator yesterday.
TheBurninator
No dusting issues here either. Maybe take a picture of how thin you are applying it?
