Welcome back Megan!  I do not have any experience with Jaguar paint, but as the others said, do a test spot to determine your best course of action.  You may also want to check a Jag owners forum, but not certain anyone there will have that level of knowledge.

In my experience, Jaguar clear coat is on the "hard" side. It would take several passes with foam pads to level out the clear coat of my 2010 XF. The microfiber cutting pad, however, makes quick work of any scratches and swirls. Regardless, experimenting with a test area has multiple benefits including refining technique.

I'll be working with a pc. Scared to use a rotary since I don't want to run the risk of burning through clear coat

With the PC and MF pads, you can almost get to 'rotary level' correction without the worry of burning the paint.  Waayyy faster than foam pads for heavy corrections.
