H20 Guard and Gloss

I applied the H2O Guard and Gloss back in early July to our DD. Due to being busy at work I have had not had the chance to do anything to our DD except wash it every two weeks. The past few days we have had a lot of rain so I took a some pictures. I am impressed with the product. It is still beading and sheeting after 3 months! Our DD sits outside 24/7.

Buttery Wax which was applied 2 months prior. There was not much of that left and I remember thinking that this would be a good test for the H20 GG.

Its a hell of an easy way to seal.  should be a great way to add a bit of "mid winter" protection as well if you do rinseless washes in winter.

After claying and strip (4oz of APC in my soap bucket...) washing, water was still beading. I didnt want to do another strip wash, so I went ahead with the LPS and then followed up the next morning with the 'dry' method of HGG. my wife's car, I did about a month ago, and still beads like crazy.

Just got to try Gaurd and Gloss for the first time and it rains that night and more today. All I can say is wow, beads everywhere! The darn near magic of a panel being wet one minute and sealed the next is impressive.

Abraham, h2o gg is a spray that seals already you have to dry the vehicle either way if you do a traditional or a Rinsless why not spray the sealant quality of gg on before drying? I might of misunderstood what you were saying but I think it is already what you are looking for from the company.

No.  Since the HGG is a water-activated sealant, adding water to make a dilution would activate the acrylic resins while it is still in the bottle and the product would not work right.

 

Watch the video on how it is used, and remember that a little product goes a long way.

I've got XPEL or some variant there of (dealer installed) on my Camry. I've used H2O on top of it, and it gives it an extra shine just as it gives an extra shine to the paint.

True, I would just be adding an extra step if I were to dry the vehicle, then spray it with diluted h2o gg and then dry/buff again.

There is already a dry application method addressed for H2O G&G.

 

Soak a towel, spray the product on the towel, apply to panel, buff with a dry towel.

 

There's a hybrid approach I am going to attempt the next time my vehicle gets a fresh coat of sealer, and thats a spray bottle with distilled water, SOAK a panel, and then apply H2O as you would with a wet car. 

 

Having done both the Dry and Wet applications, the wet is much quicker. Both are effective.

I've just started using the stuff myself and it's amazing. I needed to wash my DD due to some construction going on in my route to work. With all the rain it looks like I had been mudding with my little civic. HAH! Wife says "we have a lot to do today, could you just be normal and just wash and dry the car? Not take 5 hours to clean the car? You don't need to buff it or anything....." I said sure I'll just wash and dry it.....and while I'm drying it put a coating on it. Really didn't take me any more time than just drying does. Welllll maybe an extra minute or 2, but none that she noticed. For me, when it's not blazing hot out, I spray each pane( on the whole car)l, then wipe down with the wet towel the whole car, then come back with the dry towel and buff off any residue. Works perfectly for me, and I'm done in no time flat.
