vrt dressing on outdoor vinyl banner

Question

not sure if i have this in the appropriate part of the forum, but here i go.

 

i have a 22' vinyl banner mounted on my building. gets direct sun almost all day. is vrt something that can help protect it from fading? or has anyone even done something similar?

I agree with Chris that it should be fine. If it is a matte vinyl, the Super VRT may add a little bit of shine to it, so just be aware of that.

 

I would also apply it on a nice day or indoors and let it dry for a few hours. If you apply it and then it rains or snows right after applying it before it has had enough time to dry a little, you may have issues with the SVRT streaking and running off.

I remember reading here somewhere that someone used it on the window shutters on their house and it worked well. I'm sure it will work well for you too. If the banner is badly weathered already you may need more than one application of VRT. Let us know how it worked out for you.
