Americana wax in the fridge?

I've read on a few posts about people keeping paste wax like Americana in the fridge.  Is this the preferred way to store it?  Never heard of that before reading it here.

yes, preferred way to store it.  Before you use it, just make sure to pull it out of the fridge in time for it to get to room temperature

Yep mine stays in the fridge - Took it out to apply a coat and by the time I was done organizing the garage and shelf about 10 mins later started applying it - you can apply right away but if its colder it may take a bit extra time to haze up

I do not keep mine in the fridge but I also do not keep it in the garage. 

 

I keep it in a climate controlled environment and never had any problems with it.

Mine stays in the garage in the summer, in the house in the winter. Of course, I use it so much that it won't ever go bad before I need more.

I plan on storing my Americana Wax in the fridge and I know that I must remove the applicator pad before storing.  But do I also have to remove the cardboard piece that separates the wax/applicator, or can I leave it in there for storing?

Mine stays in the basement all year. The last thing I need is to have a "junior moment" and forget to bring it in from the garage because the wife got me off track!
