Polishing Silver Trim around BMW Windows

Hi folks,

 

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with polishing the metallic trim around bmw windows? I have tried a Mag + Aluminum polish but this didn't do anything. Wondering if someone has a suggested product and/or method for this?

 

This is a 2012 F30 BMW 328i Luxury edit. 4-door sedan.

 

Any ideas are appreciated!

You will need to use the Paint Correcting Polish and a 4 inch orange pad. If it doesn't become significantly better you can use the 4 inch pad on a drill but make sure any paint surfaces are taped off. The picture below shows before (left) and after (right)

^this. It's not bare aluminum so don't use aluminum or metal polish.

I would try some brilliant glaze on it first and see what happens, If there is a coating on it "which i would say there is". Just remember if you buff the coating off you are always going to be polishing it.

That picture I'm 99% sure it is a vehicle that is taken through the drive thru car wash often - I see that type of oxidation all the time its just from poor maintenance, similar to the fading and stains seen on BMW piano black trim as well.

 

Paint Correcting Polish will clean it up, same as the Piano Black trim.

Definitely rubber must be taped and if using the drill the paint too
