mbzamg32
I recently bought a jeep and want to detail it. This is my plan of attack: Wash n Rinse (2bucket wash) While wet spray on some IronX Let it sit for 10mins. Slightly agitate with a damp wash mitt Rinse thoroughly Clay bar entire vehicle Wash n Rinse Apply H20 Then apply buttery wax on top of H20 Then last apply detail spray. Any suggestions if this is the right way to do it or is this overkill for a brand new car?
0 mc2hill
No need for Buttery Wax over H2O G&G, but you can apply it if you want. Save the DS for drying after the next wash - the G&G will provide plenty of shine. LT1xL82
0 pirahnah3
You dont have to wash the vehicle after the clay, you can just wipe it off if you want. I agree on the buttery over H2O, personally I like the buttery when I have time to spend with vehicles if not the H2O is great stuff on its own, or over Paint Sealant. I also agree that you dont need detail spray at the end.

0 mbzamg32
Thanks!!! I wanted to put LPS but i did not get to order it in time. So i used H20 in the meantime. Planning to do all this again maybe before winter comes in. Wanting to try out the Rupes 15 mk ii. Any one try it out yet? Is it really easy for beginners? Never really machine polish any cars always did it by hand. But after this my arms was DEAD TIRED. As far as i can tell my ride does not have any swirl marks yet but can i use just the finishing polish to help with the shine? Thinking about doing finishing polish then LPS then top it off with Buttery.
Question

I recently bought a jeep and want to detail it. This is my plan of attack:
Wash n Rinse (2bucket wash)
While wet spray on some IronX
Let it sit for 10mins. Slightly agitate with a damp wash mitt
Rinse thoroughly
Clay bar entire vehicle
Wash n Rinse
Apply H20
Then apply buttery wax on top of H20
Then last apply detail spray.
Any suggestions if this is the right way to do it or is this overkill for a brand new car?
