Car/Truck clubs

After getting bitten by the Adams detailing bug as well as wanting to keep my new ride as clean ( I'm slightly OCD ) as possible, I figure the next step would be to delve more into car/truck club's.

Seeing as "Cruising The Coast" is just around the corner what should I look for when contemplating joining a club?

My caveat is that my truck is not an early model, nor is it a semi early model, It's a 2016 model.

Feeling pretty doofusy for asking this, but how idiotic would it be for me to want to join a local club seeing as most of the car's and trucks are early models and or customized to a greater/lesser extent?

Again, my truck is nothing really super special as I haven't done any customization to it ( want to keep it under warranty ) yet, however IMHO it's a decent ride, comparatively speaking.

Let er rip, I can take the good with the bad.

If it is truly an organized club with membership, they may hold a meeting where you could go and see for yourself some of the people, any social activities, or events they may have planned, whether shows or other functions.

Most clubs here are more about the people rather than how new or old your specific vehicle may be.

Also, some clubs and shows do have classes for those vehicles which are modified or custom, as well as those considered stock.

Hope this gives you some ideas to get started!

Patrick, that is too funny!

As long as you use Adam's products and your truck is looking it's best, you will always be "That Guy!"

And not in a bad way at all!

Another good place to start would be like a Cars and Coffee type show or meeting.  There is usually a good variety of cars that show up, at least here in Cincinnati there is.  Normally I see signs in front of certain types of cars for local car clubs at Cars and Coffee, if anything its a good way to meet local people in the car world. I know a few members of the Adams crew go to their local Cars and Coffee as well.
